Change Up a Stamp

Hello friends!

I have a new post with Trailing (Penny Black). This stamp is GORGEOUS, as you can see.

 

 This was my previous version.

 

 

 

I love the design of this stamp and wanted to use up its potential. I changed it up and this was the result.

 

  It was not my intention to use the Trailing (Penny Black) this way. I had the die cut Viridescent with gold foil paper and thought this was arrangement seems pretty awesome.

 

This makes such a great "thinking of you, masculine birthday, graduation....." card.

The background was sprayed with Distress Oxide (Rustic Wilderness etc). I then stamped the Viridescent over it.

I love using the largest die from Stackers Die. I love how polished the rectangle die makes it look alright/polished!

I had a blast creating with Wildflower Paper Crafting Collection. The colors of these paper are deep, rich and vibrant. 

 

 

To show off the paper, I used the Altenew Slimline Rectangles Die to create a panel.

With the ephemera pack, I was able to arrange a lovely assemble of flowers.

I also added a few faux stitching for the small banners at the top.

 

  My next card is similar to the first. I also used Slimline Rectangles Die to create striking background.

 

 These paper really makes creating a fun and relaxing thing to do. If you have little ones around your house, I bet they'd love using these gorgeous paper for their projects! 

 

 

 

 To keep the theme and vibe modern, I chose Modern Greeting for the sentiment.

 

 

For the final touches, I added sequins and glitter.

Here Comes The Sun!

 Hello friends!

I am delighted to share a new project that I created over the weekend. It was a fun and happy process. I love it when stamping take me to the happy place....

 

The new Penny Black Trailing Stamp Set is absolutely beautiful and enchanting. You can simply use it as is. The trailing of the vines look so amazing and realistic. 

 

 

However, you know that I like to make things complicated teak things, I thought to add a some sunshine peeking out!

 

 Sometimes you just have to give it a go and experiment. At worst, it will just be 

a botched project that no one will ever have to know = you have nothing to lose!

 

 About adding that peeks of sunshine: I took a circle die cut and used the positive and negative side as masks and inked up the sun with various Distress Oxide (Cracking Campfire, Mustard Seed, Barn Door).

 This is the beauty of Distress Oxide...they blend seamlessly.

 

Last but not the least, I did a clear coat of embossing, this ensure the stamped vines will stay true to their colors and you can add background colors! 

 Once I finished stamping the scene and sentiment, I framed the image with Stackers Die. This Die makes everything looks neat and tidy. I am pleased with the result and am glad that I decided to "add some sunshine"! Thanks for stopping by!

Birdhouses Through the Seasons is an adorable debut collection by Vicky Papaioannou. Who can resist a wonderful offering of seasonal birdhouses and birds dies with a set of clear stamps that all coordinate perfectly. A fabulous addition for any bird loving paper crafters!

 What can I say about these set of TWEET dies!? Each die in the set is easy to use and self-explanatory.

 I started out with creating Sweet Birds first.
Sweet Birds on a Branch Etched Dies: this is part of the Birdhouses Through the Seasons by Vicky Papaioannou. This set has nine thin metal dies creates many bird designs! There are six bird motifs from standing forward, side to side and even one in motion. Wings, bellies, and feet can be cut separately to add dimension or for different colors. Other accents are 4-inch branch and four leaf shapes.

 I then use pattern paper and created the birdhouse. If you have some random pattern paper, this is a great and easy way to use them. I used Essential Rock Paper Pad (Altenew).

 

 For the background, I took out Altenew Leaf Bed Stencil and partially stenciled the backdrop for the birdhouse. You can have the birdie peeking out from the inside of the birdhouse. However, I like the bird so much, I wanted to show off the yellow bird. Isn't it darling? 

 I kept the color schemes simple and used Poured Acrylic Paper Pad for the flowers and rooftops.

All About The Dimensions

 Hello friends!

 I am popping in with a whimsical card with dimensions. Perhaps you have seen the new Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape?

 

Here are a few photos that I took during my creative process.

There is not a bit of stamping in this card. I can see why dies are so popular. they give you that instant result..... and the pattern paper really come in handy as well.

To make this design come to life, I added some soft colors  and splatter in the background.

Ink Up That Embossing Folder

 Hello friends!

This is my 2nd post for the day. Please check out this month's winner announcement HERE. 

Are you on board with Embossing Folders? I have a fun card to share on inking up the embossing folders.

 I am using Enchanting Vines 3D Embossing Folder as my example. Ever wonder how you create the de-bossed image with multiple colors?

Firstly, you will need water-based inks such as Distress Ink, Distress Oxide or Crisp Dye ink. These ink pads have flat and hard surface. You can be easily swipe up the ink to the surface of the embossing folder. This is nearly fool-proof, in my opinion.

ENABLER ALERT: I used a mini ink pad for this purpose. Please note that the Misty Morning is 50% Off! It is my favorite and I highly recommended!

I applied assorted ink from Misty Morning over the embossing folder. I then placed the paper carefully in between the embossing folder and ran it through my die cut machine.

 

I absolutely love how the background turned out. I decided to keep the rest of the elements simple: sentiment and a small image of the Tall Foliage.

BTW have you seen the new Ranger Distress Ink Color? it's Salvaged Patina. I know, they are look pretty close to the current colors, but if you look closely, it's different! I may not get it today, but will get it eventually .... 😀😁
