Hello friends!
It is my turn to share 3 projects with you over Altenew Card Blog. This time, we are focusing on the Folk Art Stamp Set & Die Bundle.
We all love a handmade cards with lots of special touches. This post offers you a few ideas and inspiration on creating Folk Art-themed cards effortlessly!
Let's start with the easiest one!
I started stamping the image in various shades of blue. This create a lovely gradient effect.
If you use a MISTI/ stamp-positioner, you can stamp it multiple times to ensure the full coverage. Once you are happy with the stamping, make the die cut with Folk Art Coordinating Die.
For the background, all you need to do is adhere the Gold Splatter Navy Wide Washi Tape to the card front (measures 4"x 51/4") and trim off the excess.
The "THANKS" sentiment was white-embossed ( Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder) the sentiment on Vellum. I then added a piece of Navy Gold Thin Washi Tape at the bottom as accents.
The 2nd card also uses only the stamp set and vellum. This is a great way to showcase a delicate image.
The trickiest part is white-embossing ( Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder) the entire image. You can use the anti-static powder and MISTI to get a perfect embossed image.
The next step is the fun part. Simply use the Artist Markers and start coloring on the BACKSIDE of the embossed image.
I chose the darkest colors/shades as the image will show through the vellum the best. You only need to color within the white lines on the backside and it is stress-free!
The 3rd card is all about symmetry. It requires Partial-stamping and Partial Dry-embossing. Let's start with the stamping at the top and bottom.
First, I decided where the middle is and positioned the stamp accordingly. I used contrasting colors (yellow and purple).
Once I finished stamping the image, I positioned the Folk Art Motif 3D Embossing Folder at the top and ran it through my die-cut machine. I did exactly the same with the bottom part.
The dry-embossed surface from the Folk Art Motif 3D Embossing Folder gives the entire card extra dimensions and interest.
After stamping the sentiment and vines, I embellished the card with a few added droplets of gold glitter.
I hope my post inspired you to create these intricate-looking projects without much effort and time. Please stop by over Altenew Card Blog and leave me your feedback. Thank you for stopping by!

This is such an intricate, specific image but you've managed to make it look different on all your cards. Guess that's because you're brilliant. Love the gradient on the 1st card, the gorgeous coloring on vellum and the sentiment treatment on the 2nd and unique way you've use the embossing folder over the stamping on the 3rd.
