Virginia's Die Hard Series-Take 3!

Happy Friday!

It's time to share my 3rd version of this Layering Leaves from Concord & 9th. Instead of sharing on a Saturday, I moved this post one day early.

About this card: 
background stamping: I used the new STAMPtember release "Tiny Dots and Hearts"
pattern paper: it's so easy to use pattern paper with such an intricate die
sentiment: the added dimensions and silver-edged embossing make the sentiment pop
embellishments: strings and sequins

It's a great masculine card for a change, eh?

Hydrangea Die

Hello friends!

2016 marks the year of hydrangea craze for me.

I have acquired a few dies and stamps.  

This Hydrangea die from Simon Says Stamp was so popular that it was out of stock for a long time.
I had made a few projects in the late summer and I thought it is high time to share them with you. 

Enjoy today's photo tutorial.

I gathered all the purple Distress Inks and Perfect Pearl and created my own color paper.

I then worked on the the frame die.

It was so relaxing to play with this Hydrangea die.


Time to embellish and assemble.

 We are using Spellbinders products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some, we love to see them used :-)

 For my project, I used Spellbinders Holiday Holly Jolly Etched Dies.

This die set is indeed very detailed and easy to work with. You can arrange however you like with the holly leaves. I inked them up with Kuretake Watercolors. 

To make the colors stand out and keep the design interesting, I added pattern paper and lots of Nuvo drops on the holly leaves. 



The sentiment was stamped from a retired STAMPtember release (with Clearly Besotted) set.
