Spellbinders Regal Bandeau Topper

I have a special card to share today.

I may have mentioned before about my daughter Stephanie. 

She is getting married this September with her long-time boyfriend Greg.

Upon Stephanie's request, she asked me to make a card for her Maid of Honor. 

A few criteria of the card are: "You are the Best" as the sentiment, unique and special. 

That was it...and I came up with!

 The Gold Swan Ephemera was part of the Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month
from January. I paired it up with the Regal Bandeau topper.



The card was so quick to put together. I added Moonshine sequins once I heard that Stephanie is gifting her Maid of Honor a Swarovski ear rings, the sequins are just the perfect touches!



Ta-da!
Happy to say that this card has Stephanie's Stamp of Approval.
You may think I will have lots to do and prepare for the wedding.

Well, I am happy to say that Stephanie and Greg are both very sensible and mature. They have it under total control! The only thing I may have to worry about is to get a proper dress and show up!

Virginia's Versatile Vases Series #3

Hello friends!

Welcome to the week 3 of "Virginia's Versatile Series"!

Today's card has a combination of a few techniques. And it was so fun to create!

I started out with creating the vase with pattern paper.

As you can see, I used two different pattern paper and with the inlaid die-cutting,

Basically, you can die cut various pieces and fit them back like a puzzle!



I highly suggest that you play around and see what you can come up with.


Once the vase part is "figured out", I added Dotted Blooms. 
I cut a small slit on the vase opening and inserted the flowers.....(boom!). 😁😍

For the background, I stamped the outline images from Dotted Blooms.
I then popped the entire piece over Fun Foam and left the Dotted Blooms hanging.

Stamp and KISS!

Hello friends!

I am popping in with a Penny Black card.

This time, I layered colors and did some kissing....

"Stamp-kissing" that is.

I am using At Grace as an example.

This is my 2nd interpretation with this stamp. You can see my previous card here. 

I used this older Penny Black Script Stamp Set (only one in stock over Simon Says Stamp!!) for the "Stamp-Kissing".  You may see a subtle brown in the flower image.

Stamp-kissing:

1. apply Distress Oxide (colors are listed below) and stamp At Grace in multiple colors

2. apply the Vintage Photo to Penny Black Script Stamp and stamp onto the At Grace

3. with the text on At a Glace,  stamp the image onto paper

In order to make the frame more interesting, I took out the largest Square Frame and dry-embossed it. I then added the sentiment "JOY"die cut into this card.

"Stamp-kissing" is perfect for creating any Vintage or CAS style card.
It's a great way to stretch your stamp supplies and add interest to your stamped designs.

This is likely the EASIEST layering stamp set that I have come across.


For the largest image, it is absolutely amazing to see the flower become 3D right in front of your eyes! I could have stamped this purple flower better, but this is my very first try and it is not bad at all!


I stamped all of the image with Grey Denim and colored the leaves with Altenew Artist Markers Set E. Leave do not always have to be green, right? 

All the inks I used are listed below. I highly recommend this set if you are new to layered-stamping.

Hello friends!

I am popping in with a VERY quick card.

 Happy Wishes (Spellbinders)

In the last little while, I find myself taking longer time to create each card. 

I guess as you grow as a stamper, I take each process more seriously and I  think a little longer...

However, today's card is a quick one and I love it!
 

I took out a piece of Bristol paper and then colored it with Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers (please see links below).

Once I was happy with the colors on my paper, I made the die cut and added vellum underneath.
