One Layer Card with Multi-Color Layering

Happy Sunday, friends!

I am often gravitated to solid floral images.
When the Penny Black's Timeless release became available, I find this cling stamp "At Grace"
s
 was calling my name.... 😀
After much stamping, this was the result!

This card is all about the control of water and inking.
Distress Ink allows you to layer and mix each color seamlessly.

With a piece of acetate plastic, I applied ink-smooshing in each layer.
I can easily pick up the colors and layer it over another.

The clear-embossing helps to cover the stamped image and makes the colors pop!

Did you know that I also used an additional stamp for the foreground? Yeah...why not!?
I only used the tips of this stamp set "A Floral Twist".
s
Don't forget to take breaks in between each color-layering.
I find that it helps to add even more layers to the colors and added textures.

I love what you did with the background! You've given me some ideas to finish a floral card I've had stamped and waiting for me to mail... it just wasn't finished yet and I have been struggling to decide what else it needed! Thanks for the inspiration, Virginia!

This is my new favorite card of yours. The way you smooshed the ink together to get that look is amazing!! I LOVE the blending you got!! I need to try this. I already love smooshing but never tried layering of the inks by smooshing stamps!

Thanks for sharing. This is beautiful. Do you find the red rubber harder to work with?

Just beautiful, Virginia! I love the layered colors. I was actually surprised that you said you did some ink smooshing because I thought it was actually a stamped layer! The colors are stunning and that clear embossing really does make the colors pop!
