Virginia's Versatile Vases #1

Hello friends!

Welcome to my first installment of the "Virginia's Versatile Vases".
First, I have a confession to make...
I have a black thumb in real life. My plants are always on the survival mode.
Therefore, if there is any chance that I can get to play a florist or gardener,  I'd jump into it. 😊

I love that this set comes with 3 sizes of vases and can be used in so many ways.
For me, the key is to keep the floral arrangement light and fresh!

I paired it up with one of the new release stamps set "Wallpaper Art".
always thinking of you

Techniques applied in this card: die-cutting, multi-color stamping, ink-blending, masking, alcohol-markers coloring (with Altenew Artist Markers )

always thinking of you

I started out with inking up the vase with Jet Black. I then used the negative part of the Vase Mask and applied the gradient in blue ink. Then I added splatter! This creates a faux watercolor look without the mess.

To ground the image, I created a "marbled table"  with "One Day a a Time". Isn't that a cool stamp?
After the vase, it's time to arrange the flowers and leaves.....The stamped die pieces were "leftover" from this project.

I didn't like how the branches look in the vase. I decided to add a Butterfly Acetate Die Cuts on top of all. It kind of 'worked"!

For the final touches, I added some glitter at the bottom of the vase! See the magic dust?
This concludes my first project for this series.
I will be back next Friday for another Virginia's Versatile Vases.
I promise the next one will be a different Vase (s).

That vase is stunning. All the little touches, spatter, glitter, etc., make it look so realistic and the flowers/leaves are beautiful.
