Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge #384

s

Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge !! Thank you for joining us for It's Hip to be Square Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too :-)

This week the challenge is

Anything Goes

We are using Avery Elle products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some, we love to see them used :-)

I am using this cute cute cute set Konnichiwa  which was designed by my talented SSS Wed. Challenge design team mate Caryn Davis

k

I had SO much fun playing with this set. As you can tell, I got a little carried away and made 3 of them!

After stamping  the images in Versamark, I clear-emboss the Japanese Dolls, so I will not run the risk of messing up their hair-do. Also, the clear-embossing adds such a lovely shine on them. LOVE!

With masking, I stamped the 3 darling images and did my watercoloring.

This stamp is super easy to color! I highly recommend it  for special little girls in your life. I bet they would love to color!

Add Some Splatter!

Hello friends!

If you follow my blog for a while, you know I give a lot of LOVE to my stamping.
Today's card was made with a lot of love.

It may not look like much....
many thanks-001

This was what's involved with creating this card: emboss the flowers in two colors, apply Distress Inks, apply Distress Crayons and lots of ink-splatter.

When you are having fun in embossing and stamping layers and layers of colors, nothing is "too much work".  I am sure you are likely to agree.
Thanks for looking!

More on The Large Frame Die

Hello friends!
I am back again with this Birthday Wishes Frame Die.

w

This time I am using just the sentiment. My photos below shows you how I colored the die with gradient of colors. I think the best way (for me) is to make the die cut and then blend in the inks (see top right).
2016-081

I tried to create colored paper first and then die cut. However, I ended up ruining the sentiment. I think it's because that the paper was still wet from the ink-blending. Since the sentiment is quite intricate, I ruined a few of them.

I am pleased how it turned out with the ink-blending.

I also added some gold stripey color paper for this festive design. The stamping of the balloons was done with MISTI. The new-to-me Nuvo (the gold ink droplets) is really neat. I now want to collect every colors!

It truly is a versatile die if you see my last two posts (here and here).
This is not the last time you see me using this Birthday Wishes die... :)
