TWO Takes with Four Petals Dies

I am back to share another project with the Four Petal  Reflection Blooms Etched Die. This time I did a more complicated version.

Here's the simple way!

 

 Combining with the shape die like Essential Four Petal Labels Etched Dies (Spellbinders, Scrapbook.com, Simon Says Stamp) from the Four Petal Collection.

You can use this shape die in any orientation. I used the 2nd largest die to create this shape card.

 

I must admit that the details of the flowers seem overwhelming. However, once you get to know the dies, it really was easy to layer them.

My trick? Use color cardstock like THIS or THAT. These color paper makes die-cutting easy and fun. I personally would love to get all of the paper pads in these collection.

 I die cut two pieces of Four Petal  Reflection Blooms Etched Die as my last one.  I decorated it with the Gold Mix Color Essential Gems

Incorporate Stenciled Patterns

 Hello friends!

Have you used your simple geometric stencils lately? I have a floral card that utilizes part of a stencil. 

I am using Ambridge Rose Embossing Folder as an example. The Embossing Folder is quite popular and maye be sold out. However, you can use any of your embossing folder in you stash. |The following are readily available.

stamp set (Altenew, Scrapbook, Simon Says Stamp)  

die set (Altenew, Scrapbook, SSS) 

and layering stencils (Altenew, Scrapbook, SSS)

I inked up the images with ink-blending tools. You can also try using "foam" to ink up the surface.

I then ink up the background with Square Weave Stencil (Altenew)

This is a good example of using part of a busy stencil. You definitely should not be intimidated by the patterned stencil.

Simple Take of a Delicate Die

I am happy to share a simple project with the Four Petal  Reflection Blooms Etched Die.

 I die cut two pieces of Four Petal  Reflection Blooms Etched Die. I then arranged them accordingly.

 In between the dies, the sentiment "I appreciate you" was stamped.

Creative Takes on Mini Wild Dog Rose Bundle

Hello friends!

It is my turn to share projects with you over Altenew Card Blog. 

I am featuring Mini Wild Dog Rose Embossing Folder, Layering Stencils and Die Set. Today's post will highlight the Mini Wild Dog Rose Bundle. The complete bundle will be available at the end of February - so make sure you watch out for that! You can check the Stamp Set here and Embossing Folder here.

 

This bundle consists of a stamp set, dies, a 3D Embossing folder, and layering stencils. The simple, pretty images are perfect for any crafting project.  They are most suitable for trying out new mediums and fun techniques. I have 3 examples to showcase the versatility of this lovely bundle.

First up, this card features a wonderful way of using Artists' Gouache- Strolling Through New York. (Altenew, Scrapbook, Simon Says Stamp)

 Have you ever been tempted to color dry-embossed images? Well, you totally can with the Artists' Gouache. The paints are so easy to control and you can use regular paper such as Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock (110 lb).

 Thanks to the pigment of the Gouache, you control the flow and add colors/depth easily to those dry-embossed images. The simplicity of the Mini Wild Dog Rose makes it ideal for coloring.

In addition to the dry-embossed image, I stamped and die cut the dog rose and completed the design in no time.  The stamped and die-cut sentiment (Woodgrain White Cardstock) was created with One-Go Birthday Stamp & Die Bundle (Altenew, Scrapbook, SSS)

The Satin Gold Sequins really elevated this card to another level!

 My second card focuses on a clean and simple background.

 

To showcase the leafy image, I swiped the Eucalyptus ink over the upper panel of the 3D Embossing Folder. Once dry-embossed, you are then left with this gorgeous background with white leaves showing through.

 

I added a few splatters from Forest Glades Metallic Shimmer Ink Spray. For the card base, I used Real Gray Cardstock.

 

 The stamped, die-cut and colored Mini Wild Dog Roses were popped up with Instant Dimension Foam Tape.

 

 Noticed that I stamped the sentiment "epic" on one of the leaves? How about adding shine? The die-cut leaves with Gold Mirror Cardstock are just the right touches, right?

I applied many techniques to the third card's design.

 

I applied the following techniques: die-cutting, stamping, ink-blending, stenciling, dry-embossing, and masking.  Aren't they fun? The Layering Stencils in this bundle really made the coloring job a delight!

 

Wait... there's masking?

Simply use the die-cut flowers and leaves to cover the dry-embossed images with Satin Masking Tape.

 

Once the dry-embossed images are covered, ink-blend the background with the inks from Blue Mountains Fresh Ink Bundle.

Brighten Your Day!

 Hello friends!

I am sharing a card that will brighten your day. This card was part of the "leftover" dies from my previous project with Boho Vase.

Indeed, this card is so bright.... that you may need sunglasses! 

 The Boho Vase set is so popular that it is sold out everywhere. However, the Masonry Wall Embossing Folder is still available over Simon Says Stamp (only 3 left).

 Thee vases were ink-sprayed and die-cut.

 If you look closely, I dry-embossed with the Altenew Rattan Stripes Die (only available over SSS)

 I used One-go Birthday Greetings Stamp (Altenew, Scrapbook, Simon Says Stamp) and Die Set (Altenew, Scrapbook, SSS)  .  You can find the bundle HERE

 

Here are the three cards that I created with Boho Vase. Do you spy Masonry Wall Embossing Folder in all three cards? It's funny how I used nearly the same supplies for each card and yet each has its own special distinctive look.
