Use Spray Inks with Outline Stamps

Hello friends!
Today's post is another way of using  "Poinsettia"
If you are looking for a quick way of coloring your images, this post is for you!

s
This stamp set is part of the release "Believe in the Season" from Simon Says Stamp (see here.)
My two cards came together very quickly.
I rely on my sprays and mists a ton. After spraying them on watercolor paper, I let my DIY paper dry. I then stamped the outline stamps and cut the images out.
Christmas Greetings

This set also comes with matching dies. Since I don't have them, I fussy cut all of the poinsettia on my cards. See? It's do-able when you are watching mindless TV. That was exactly how I did it!

Greetings

As for the dotty details on the poinsettia, I thought it would be fun to add white Pico Embellisher for that little something something...

I am keeping the post short and sweet.

Scarlet Majesty

Hello friends!
DSC_0019 (5)

I am popping in with a quick post.
Some stamps call for respect.... this one called Scarlet Majesty says it all.
s
It is large, no doubt.
But...the designs and details of this stamp will make you want to play play play.
See my card and you would know what I mean....

winter cheer

I worked with the edges and did all my stamping with the help of MISTI as usual.
If you follow my You Tube Channel, you can easily make cards like this.

I love the clear-embossing which makes the inking of the background an easy thing to do.
The watercoloring part never turns out exactly the same, which make cards like this organic and unique. I hope that you are not intimidated by a large cling stamp like this. It is much more stamper-friendly than you think.
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Simple Layered Stamping

Happy Saturday!
I am in the floral mood lately and thought it would be most appropriate to share another.
Thursday's post was about using solid stamps as the main focus (see here). Today I am using the Altenew's Floral Shadow for the background...

s

English Roses (Clearly Besotted)

I enjoy layered stamping and this English Roses is just the ticket for it!
The lining-up is straightforward and there's absolute no guess work involved.

I simply gathered my favorite inks and started with the lightest to the darkest. There is no right or wrong about this process. It's just a matter of personal preference.

As you can see, I also used the outline stamps without inking them up entirely. I love the added intricacy the outline stamps give. Hope you check out this English Roses (Clearly Besotted) if you love simple yet elegant style of stamps.

Today we are celebrating my Father-in-Law's 90th birthday!!
It's awesome to be with family to commemorate this huge milestone.
There will be lots and lots of chatting and eating.... :)

My son David with Grandparents.

Thank you for stopping by!
