A QUICK Christmas Card

 Hello friends!

I am popping in to share a quick Christmas card! Yesterday I found out my local library is calling a card drive of 1000. The collected and signed cards will be hand delivered to the local seniors. How awesome is that? 

With my father-in-law's passing this summer, I now no longer visit his retirement home and give out Christmas cards to the staff to show our appreciation. This library card will be the way of sharing my handmade cards. I manged to find 30 Christmas cards to donate so far...

 This card, as you can see, doesn't require any stamping or die-cutting. 

 The paper, ephemera and thicker are all part of the Joyful Christmas Card Kit.

 This set of cards from the Poinsettia die set (included in the kit) are my favorite.

  The pattern paper and ephemera are absolutely yummy!

Shape Cards That You Can Make in Minutes!

It's my turn to share a project with you over Altenew Card Blog.  I am delighted to share a shape card project with you. Shape cards are simply eye-catching and playful. Today's post is to show you how easy it is to mass product these super cute shape cards in minutes!

The Home Sweet Home stamp set comes with a sweet house shape and is perfect for creating a shape card. 

I started out with creating a colorful background with Altenew Pigment Ink.

 

 you can use the "Ink to Paper" approach by swiping pigment ink directly to paper. I used a Gel Plate and brayer to spread out the ink. The Altenew Pigment Ink are rich and vibrant and cane be easily mixed.

 Once I finished inking the paper and let dry. I then stamped the houses with Jet Black Pigment Ink and die cut them all.

  I die cut 6 more pieces of house on Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock (110 lbs). To create a fold on top, I scored a straight line at the half inch mark with Crafter's Essential Bone Folder. Once you applied the 2 in 1 Glue Pen, you have a house shape card!

 To make the houses even "funner", I added the silver glittery clouds with Dazzling Diamond Glitter Cardstock.

 This is a fun project to do with the special little ones in your life. Imagine that you can use them as gift tags, house-warming card, hostess card sets, thank you cards, placement cards...etc. You can even create a Christmas village! I hope that you are inspired by these houses of cards!

CAS Christmas Card

Hello friends!

Hope your Sunday is a lovely one! We are having the first snowfall here in my neck of the woods. I am enjoying in my warm home and blogging away.....

Today's card is a super simple one. I used the Spellbinders Christmas Joy Card Kit. The stamp that is included in this set is a sweet one. 

I stamped and colored the image for the focal point.

 

I then used the ephemera for the background.

The Thicker sentiment is also part of the card kit.

Poinsettia Die in 3 Ways!

  Hello friends!

First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends/followers!  Hope you are safe and happy and enjoy spending time with your love ones. Previously, I shared 2 different takes on the same Poinsettia Dies. This die set is from Spellbinders Joyful Christmas Kit. I am back to share the 3rd version with this die. 

 

This photo shows what you can do with the die pieces. Let's start with the 1st take that you saw in my previous post. I created a larger frame with the border dies.

In my 2nd take, I arranged a large Poinsettia without the border dies.

Next I am sharing my 3rd take! This one is my personal favorite!  

Card #3

 I took out my DIY color-sprayed paper and started die-cutting. This really is the fun part of using your own paper. Because it is like Chocolate...you never know what you are gonna get (as Forrest Gump can totally relate!!).

 I added bits of glitter ( glitter paper dots, metallic thread and sequins).

I must say that I was "in the zone" when I made this card..... I totally forgot what's going on in the world- for 10 minutes. And that is a good thing, right?

Here are the 3 cards I made with the same die set.

If you allow your imagination to take over, anything is possible.
