Add Shine with a Border Die

Hello friends! 

I don't know about you, but sometimes a certain product prompt to  to get creative. 

Entering... 

 

the Geometric Frames (Penny Black)

  and Enliven Stamp Set

The floral stamp is the latest smaller set form Penny Black's Daydream Collection. I find this stamp set's lovely image easy to color.

I colored the images with my one set of Karin Markers. You can use any coloring medium.

After coloring, I thought to incorporate this geometric border die. At first, I only thought to use a black border die. At the end, I added two squares of gold glitter paper as part of inlaid die-cutting.

 

The sentiment from Rain or Shine seems to be perfect.

  To top that off, I added a few sequins and call it a card!

 

The Geometric Frames is full of potential and promise.... I hope to create more with it.

2nd Take with a Corner Die

Hello friends! 

I hope this posts finds you well. I am sharing my 2nd take with the Spring Blooms Corner Die from Simon Says Stamp. 

This was my 1st take. I think most of you really like it!

 For today's card, all you need is color card stock, the die and sentiment. 

This simple version is easy to create.

 This one requires die-cutting twice and that's it. 

This card is all about details, isn't it?

Here I used assorted sequins to make the card shine!

For my project, I am taking out my latest favorites and put them all on a card! All products are highlighted in grey and are listed at the end of this post.

 

 The bouquet from Our Friendship Blooms Stamp, Stencil  & Die Bundle was easy to create thanks to the stencils. I gold-embossed the entire image to give it a rich look! 

 

I decided to add Versatile Vase 2 for the bouquet. To achieve the look of the glass vase, I used a piece of vellum  (colored in alcohol marker) for the front of the vase. 

 

 This card is meant to be mail out in a letter-size envelope. You can use the Nesting Slim Rectangles Die. I simply measured the letter size envelope and cut it to 3 1/2" x 7 1/4"

 For the finishing touches, I partially dry-emboss the card front with Ornamental Feature Embossing Folder. I then added a piece of Navy Gold Trim Washi Tape for the extra interest.

Simon Says Stamp New Release "Hello Beautiful"

Hello friends! 

I have a super fun and simple project to share!

 This time, I am using Simon Says Stamp's new release products called "Spring Blooms Corner Die".

 I had a lovely time playing with this corner die.  

There are a few ways to approach a die like this. I opted for a simple and visually-appealing way. I used Alcohol Pearls Ink for the background.

 The colorful sentiment was an after thought after I adhered the colorful panel. I always keep the alcohol inked-paper around until I use up the last bit of scraps.

 

 

The sentiment is from Magnolia Cottage (another sweet set).

Stretch Your Frame Die

Hello friends!

I am popping in to share a card featuring the Frame Die. You must already have a few basic shape dies in your stash. Today's post is a reminder on using it other than die-cutting.  

Looped Stackers by Penny Black 

 

Isn't this stamp lovely? I started out with coloring the Rose Dance Clear stamp.

Coloring the image with Distress Oxide was easy. I decided to add more interest with the frame.

 

  

This set of rectangle dies has some amazing and intricate details.

By dry-embossing, I was able to make an impression on the paper without too much distraction from the die-cutting. Be sure to use an light brown embossing mat included in this machine. 

 

As usual, I like to add some gold accent to the design. You can see the use of gold glitter, gold Washi Tape and gold sequins.

Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Clematis & Artist Alcohol Markers Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

This image is not like the other... this time, there is a lattice background in the mix!

I decided to color a small portion of the image and used a heart die.

I used Woodless Color Pencils for this task. They are easy and precise for smaller areas. The NEW Artist Markers will be fantastic for coloring this image as well. At the time of creating this card, I have not received the new Artist Markers, so I used Woodless Color Pencils instead.

  I added a piece of vellum underneath to make the focal point stand out even more.
