A Shaker Card With Shape Dies

Hello friends!

I hope this post finds you well. I am popping in with a fun shaker card. The latest release from Penny Black is full of spring fever and gorgeous inspiration.

Hexagon Frames (Penny Black)

This Hexagon die inspired me to try something a little different.  Since it comes with so many sizes, I thought to use as many as I can. This was the result.

I started out with stamping the pink card stock with Fresh Flowers.

The sentiment was not part of the plan, but when I was all done with the shaker card, I decided that it is perfectly fitting to use the smallest hexagon for the sentiment!

The green glitter hexagon frame was also not part of the plan. I intended to cut the frame  for the shaker border, but I used one size larger instead. I love how this turned out!

I ended up using three sizes of Hexagons and they look good together.

Today's take away: find your shape dies and create your shaker card! You do not need fancy gadget for this type of cards. You do need good foam tape, sequins, acetate (packaging can be used ) and patience.

I thoroughly enjoyed making this card. It was fun to do something different and change things up.  I will be sharing more new release "Love & Happiness" from Penny Black and have listed the products that I will be showcasing.

Thank you for stopping by!

What a happy card. Fresh and colorful...reminds me a Spring. The hex shape for the shaker aperture is really eye-catching and fun.

Love the shaker card! Green and pink is one of my favorite combinations so love that about your card. The green glitter frame sure adds some lovely sparkle to the card. I love green so would have picked it over using the pink as you did. The sentiment worked out well for the card and is a great focal point for the card. I have tried one shaker ornament, but not delved into shaker cards. That will be on my list this year.
