Last but not the least...here is a watercolor tag that I created

I die cut the watercolor paper with the new Altenew Terrific Tag Die Se. Once dry, I stamped it with Bird of Paradise and that's it. Creating tags doesn't take up a ton of time.

Here is my take on this lovely yet intricate Victorian Stamp Set.
Altenew-MD Victorian-Nesting Labels Die #1

The style of these Victorian houses reminded me one of the most iconic Painted Ladies in San Francisco.

About Painted Ladies (source: Wiki):  In American architecture, painted ladies are Victorian and Edwardian houses and buildings repainted, starting in the 1960s, in three or more colors that embellish or enhance their architectural details. The term was first used for San Francisco Victorian houses by writers Elizabeth Pomada and Michael Larsen in their 1978 book Painted Ladies: San Francisco's Resplendent Victorians. Although polychrome decoration was common in the Victorian era, the colors used on these houses are not based on historical precedent:
Since then, the term has also been used to describe groups of colorfully repainted Victorian houses in other American cities.

Altenew-MD Victorian-Nesting Labels Die #2

I stamped the Victorian houses in warmer tone and colors. They are easy to line up and was not hard to stamp at all. Once I stamped 3 in a row, I cut and popped up the piece.
Altenew-MD Victorian-Nesting Labels Die #3

I then added a stripe of paper with the smallest Nesting Label Die and stamped the sentiment.

DIY Sentiment with Thickers

Hello friends!
Hope you are doing well. I am sharing a quick card with the Spellbinders June Card Kit.

Today's card is composed of the leftover pieces from previous projects. I am sure you have your share of leftovers. Sometimes I tossed them, sometimes I save them.
ola

After all the cutting an d trimming, I was left over many strips of paper. I decided to make a ribbon flowers along with the die.
Hola -001

With the ephemera  in the kit, it was easy to come up with the theme. Then the sentiment Hola seems perfect in this. I don't know much Spanish, but I do know a few words. Hola is one of them.
Hola

Much like songs that you evoke feelings and memories, cards can do that, too!
This card reminded me of the "It's a Small World" ride in Disney World and Disneyland.

Hola -002

I hope toady's post put a smile on your face. Thanks for stopping by!

StretchThat Border Die (Part 2) and Spellbinders Winner Announcement

Hello friends!
I am back to share my 2nd take with the Floral In "N" Out Border Die.
DSC_0172

Here is my 1st take on this die. You can definitely compare with today's version.
thank you

Now you can see how easy it is to flip both ways and the card still "makes sense"!
thank you -001

To keep the design simple, I only added a piece of Washi Tape. The sentiment stamped white embossed and die cut.

thank you -002

I wanted to show off the gold, white and kraft colors.
Therefore, the sentiment's color became quite prominent.
thank you -003

The beauty of this border die speaks for itself and you don't need to do a ton. However, that doesn't mean it's boring because I have MORE ways of using it. Hope you like this version!

How To Create a CAS Card with Mixed Media

 Hello friends!
I am excited to share a project with you over Altenew Card Blog.

Mixed Media is all the rage, but do you know that you can create CAS (Clean and Simple) cards with these versatile supplies? Altenew offers wide range of Stencils, Ink Sprays, Washi Tape, Watercolor Sets/Markers... and Embossing Paste.  Pairing these with your favorite stamps and dies will stretch your supplies and creativity.  Today's CAS card will show you how to create with Mixed Media. I hope you will get creative and play!

Let's examine the 3 key elements in this CAS card : Geometric, Floral and Background. You can apply these 3 key elements as a formula in all of your designs.
06252020-GemFrameDie-JustJasmine-EmbossigPaste

Geometric: I started out with ink-spraying in the Watercolor Paper and let dry.  The Metallic Shimmer Ink Spray I used are Sunkissed, Warm Sunshine and Orange Cream. After running Gem Frame Die Set through Mini Blossom (with Metal Shim), you will get this lovely piece of die. I kept the middle piece in tact with a dab of glue.

06252020-GemFrameDie-JustJasmine-EmbossigPaste (3)
Floral:  After stamping the outline images with Just Jasmine Stamp Set in Delectable Delights Ink, I die cut the images.  I stamped the center of the Jasmine flowers in Antique Gold Pigment Ink.

06252020-GemFrameDie-JustJasmine-EmbossigPaste (2)

Background: With the Ink-Blending Tool, I inked up the bottom  of the card front in Milk Chocolate. I took out the Milky Way Stencil and applied Embossing Paste over it.  Once dried, I assembled all the die cut and stamped pieces.

It is always fun and exciting to use Mixed Media on cards. I hope that you are encouraged to try out the 3 key elements in your designs. I would also appreciate if you can leave me your comment over Altenew Card Blog.
