Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Tulip Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello friends!
It's time to share another exciting Altenew Craft-A-Flower with you.
We are celebrating this month's Craft-A-Flower Tulip with a blog hop!

If you arrive from the blog of Nathalie DeSousa, you are in the right place.
For all info, please visit Altenew Card Blog.
If not, come and join the fun hop for ideas and inspiration.

If you love 3D Dies and tulips, this is THE ONE.
The tulips in this set has 3 sizes which made it super easy to layer.
Altenew-Build-a-Flower-Tulip#1

Starting from the top, the largest tulip is the purple one, the smallest in red/pink and then the medium one in pink. I want to mention the size because it makes a huge difference when you layer each piece.

Altenew-Build-a-Flower-Tulip#3

I set out to create my own watercolor paper in three shades. Before bed time, I took out the Altenew Watercolor 24 Pan set. I painted various colors and shades and then had a good night's sleep.

Altenew-Build-a-Flower-Tulip#2
The next morning, I die cut and assembled. Done.
How fun and easy is this?
Altenew-Build-a-Flower-Tulip#4
The only "extra" thing I did was creating a blue/teal watercolor background to compliment the tulips. I also added a tint of white metallic water-coloring. This leaves some shine and  lightens up the color palette.

As soon as I saw your card, I thought, these tulips look water coloured, & as I read on I saw I was right. What a super idea Virginia! I don't usually have three shades of a colour family in my paper stock, so this would solve that problem. Way to go! I love the way you have them bent, like the wind is blowing. Blessings...
