Hello friends!
I am popping in with a simple card that has a detailed background.
With the background, I hope to create some interest, motion and depth.
You can use Blossoming Boots or
Blooming Boots as the example.
For the background, I have used the following technique:
1. Dry-embossing with the die: I love using shape dies for dry-embossing. Not only it gives that subtle lines and details, it also make me feel happy that I am stretching the use of dies!
2. ink-smooshing: I love some "movement" in the background. Ink-smooshing (use a piece of acetate to ink up the water and Distress Oxide) gives an instant and satisfactory result.
3. masking: I purposely left all borders clean. The masking really helps draw our eyes to the focal point.
4. stenciling (with a die): this is another way to stretch that die. Using the die cut paper as mask. In this case, I used Creative Curves with Broken China Oxide
I hope that you enjoy seeing today's post.

I don't think of embossing with dies very often, but it is a great look! I have to try it more often! Love your pretty card!
