More Antique Rose Cards!

Hello friends!

I hope you are not tired of seeing Antique Roses in my posts...

The best thing about stamping images like "Antique Rose" is that you can create multiple flowers in one session and die cut them. You then have a stash and can create whatever background or design that your heart desires....

Again, I took out the Dot Art and stamped it in grey. Add some splatter and you've got a floral card!

Use Those Pattern Paper!

Hello friends!

I don't know about you, but I love the ease of using pattern paper to create fun and colorful background. I am sure that you have seen me using this paper pad numerous times.

Here it is again: Essential Rock Collection👌

If you like a "safe" paper pad that gives you that something extra without overwhelming your stamp ed design. This is definitely one to consider.

I absolutely love the grey wood-grain background from the paper. My Antique Roses are the perfect fit for the design. I also added an extra strip of chevron paper to make the roses stand out even more.

The depth and contrast of the roses really come through with the grey-ish background.

I need to make a lot of thank-you cards for my daughter's wedding and this will be one of them.

The Virtues of Debossing Cover Dies

Hello friends!

I am popping in with my last take with Playful Plumeria Stamp and Die Bundle.

I simply love the possibilities that this set has to offer...

Today's card is 100% Stamped.

I took out all my favorite inks and started stamping away.

 In order to keep stamped image a standout., I kept the embellishment to a minimum.

 However, I would still like to add subtle details!
💡 What can be better ways than to add textures with a cover die!?
The Dotted Swirls Debossing Cover Die came to the rescue!
Cover dies like these are great addition to have in your stash.
Yes, they are not cheap....which is why we "need to talk about it"! 

🎀The virtue of debossing cover dies: 🎀

1. details and textures can be easily incorporated into your design

2. use part of the cover die and die cut them with assorted shapes (heart, circle...etc)
3. stamp before or after debossing
4. color it with any of your favorite media (color pencils, watercolor, copics.... etc)
5. you can create matching set of cards easily. Need a set of cards in a jiffy? Deboss all of them and add an image or two and sentiment....done!
6. feel challenged with color card stock or pattern paper? Deboss them!
7. add doodles on them! See those dotted lines? You can use a fine pen and trace all the lines!
8. stitch it! Use a small fine needle and stitch the pattern. It's time-consuming, but well worth the effort if this is your thing. (be sure to use super study card stock and fine needles)

CAS card with Mixed Media Elements

Hello friends! 

When we think about Mix Media, we often associate lots of colors, textures, stenciled details.

Well, I created a card with all that, but it can still look pretty clean and simple.

 I am using "Simply the Best" as my example.
The simply petal, when layered, exude a sense of ease and elegance.

In this card, I used two stencils, glitter, embossing paste, pattern paper, stamps and die.

 I have listed all the supplies at the end of this post. From the list, I can tell what I did exactly.

I must mention that Antique Gold Pigment Ink is lighter than the Enchanted Gold Pigment Ink. 

 I think the light Antique Gold is a good fit for this pastel design.

More Scene Card with Gelli Plate

Hello friends!

As I have been experimenting more with Gelli Plate, I have one more scene card! 

Escape

All supplies are listed at the end of this post.
This card was my 2nd attempt. I actually tried to create the background without the image in my first try. But the inking application of Gelli Plate did not turn out.

I decided to stamp just the horizon (see there is a line?) and worked on adding colors to the background.


That means, apply Distress Oxide with the Rubber Brayer and then bring up the Gelli Plate and then stamp . Once I was happy with the background, I stamped the image with the help of MISTI.
 

To add subtle interest, I took out the leave die and dry-embossed it.

 I wanted to keep the embellishment minimum, so I added some sticklers and that's it.
