 This Layered Snowflakes Die Set 2 is really intricate and detailed.

 

 

 I made the DIY color paper with my favorite wintery colors. Once dried, I die cut the snowflake and assembled it with the Brush Silver Cardstock.

 What can I say? This embossing folder has it all. It has a very warm scene and the details are simply sweet and heart-warming.

 

 

I applied ink to the embossing folder with the help of Gel Plate.

 

 

The sentiment and die are from Mistletoe Wreath Stamp Set. To save space, I trimmed part of the banner off.

Winter Label Die From Spellbinders

I am back with another project created with Winter Label Motifs Etched Dies

Stamping.... without Borders

 Hello friends!

I am popping in with my 2nd version with the Timeless Tulips-another borderless project (without outlines) . Here is my first take with the same stamp, dies and embossing folder. 

 

This time, I applied the same idea and used the send image from the set. If you miss seeing my first post, please click HERE

 

 There are a few key elements in this card. 

1. Dry-embossed background ( love the dimensions!)

2. stamp, stencil and die cut the main image ( this part took the longest, but so worth it)

3. embellishments: splatter, sequins and glitter paper ( the most fun part for me)

 Thanks to the coordinating stencil, the color-blending is really effortless. 

 To create a sense of movement, I made some ink splatter based on the direction of the tulips. I also added sequins to accentuate the motion. If you have not thought of adding "movement", this is something you light like to consider and worth giving it a try.

 It took me sometime to find the right spot for "sentiment".  I am quite happy with the result.

"Make it Masculine" -Stretch the Cover Die

Hello friends! 

I am excited to be part of the Educator Instagram Blog Hop today. I took the chance to create something different this time...with a new "toy"-Simon Hurley's Stamping Foam.

 

 The theme of the Instagram Hop is " "Make it Masculine". 

 I was intrigued and almost a bit skeptical about the Stamping Foam at first. Once I purchased it from Scrapbook.com, I now realized that it is such a fun tool to get more mileage to your stencils and dies.

  

 It takes the heat really well. Once I heated the foam up with the heat fun. I then pressed it against Curving Leaves Die for 20 second and you get the print onto the stamping foam.

  

  Then I inked up the stamping foam with various colors. This foam is now YOUR STAMP. And...voila! Since I bought the stamp foam with a circle, I get extra shape images which I love.

 

Therefore, you now see the "Curving Leaves Dies in PRINT! Isn't it cool? Not to diminish the use of Curving Die , I cut up a strip of the  die and used it at the border (see the white strip at the bottom).

  

 I placed the strip over Brush Silver Metallic Cardstock and this gives the design a great accent and interest. The sentiment from One-Go Greetings Stamp Set as then added on top of the stamped circle.

So, Ok... you watched numerous You Tube video on how to create the most BEAUTIFUL and DRAMATIC background.... and you did it.... Now what!!? 

 

 

For people who love creating the most dramatic and beautiful background, you now have a super inky and coloring marbleized paper.  Your next step is to make good use of your alcohol ink paper.

 This proves to be the trickiest part (in my view). Do not rush out and purchase the latest inks, stamps, stencils and dies.... look at your stash and see what you can come up with. 

 

 When I saw my alcohol ink paper, I thought this Edged Wildflower Die is perfect for this. I made a card with pattern paper (alcohol ink).

 The key to success of  using Alcohol Ink paper is to pay attention to the colors, textures and placement of the colors. Once you have figured all that out, you can proceed to create your art piece.

Stamping Without Outlines (Timeless Tulips)

 Hello friends!

Have you checked out the latest release from Altenew? If not, please scroll down and you will find my 3 projects with this fabulous release. Along with this collection, Altenew also released one of the best tulip sets that I have seen.... called Timeless Tulip (please use the links at the end of this post).

This is a bundle of Timeless Tulips Stamp Set, coordinating dies, stencils and embossing folder.

This set features an arrangement of tulips in a vase and a bouquet of tulips wrapped in floral paper wrap. Tulips have been well-loved for centuries and symbolize deep and perfect love. Capture that love by stamping the floral design onto your next paper crafting project. Don't forget the motivational sentiments encouraging you to live in the moment.

 This set was previously released in a July Altenew retreat (virtual crafting workshop). I created during the virtual retreat hosted by the Altenew Educators and this card took me less than an hour. I am using all three products in this set (except the Embossing Folder).

 

 Like no-line coloring, I stamped the image in a light shade of ink such as "Antique Linen" or in Altenew's ink "Vanilla Cream". This allows you to see the lines while stamping and...in this case, stenciling.

I absolutely love the coordinating stencils. With these stencils, you can create a very smooth ink-blending and color-mixing. You may take the joy in coloring the image, but for me, these coordinating stencils are so much more relaxing and fun to use. I added the shine on tulips with Perfect Pearls Powder.

Not all image are entirely without outlines. As you can see, I did stamp the outlines of the stems (in the vase). I just like the more defined lines on those stems.

  

The white frame I used is from this very versatile Mega Stamp Frames Die. It's actually the "leftover" piece of the frame die. I trimmed it to size and used it for the large frame. 

I hope that you enjoy seeing cards like this. It really is easy to do...as long as oyu have the right supplies, anyone can create a fabulous card.
