Hello friends!
I am popping in to share a vintage card with Rosa from Penny Black.
This floral image is absolutely gorgeous. It has some sketchy lines and details. the thing about cling stamps is that they are so finely etched and the details from the stamps are quite amazing.
If you have not used cling stamps, I highly suggest that you give them a try.
Before I stamped the image, I added the yellow and warm glow with Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber.
Food for thought (NEW): stamping is much like applying makeup, you plan ahead and work your way "backwards". That's why you need to start with a "foundation".
Next comes the fun part.... I stamped the flowers with various Distress Oxide. I need to try different color combo, but this seems to be the kind of colors that I reach for as of late.
Note to myself: I need to try other colors!
I wanted to incorporate the sentiment into the background. This is when clear-embossing is amazing. The little specks of clear droplets is the result of using Distress Resist Spray.
I stamped the sentiment and applied Vintage Photo Distress Oxide at the bottom and some edges. I embellished the card with my favorite things: sequins and metal strings. This card is complete!

Gorgeous design and perfect photography!
You are so right! This is a gorgeous,
vintage beauty!
Very pretty! The flower is lovely and the background is a perfect backdrop. The Vintage Photo ink was perfect to use to create the vintage feel of the card. That is one of my favorite Distress ink colors (and Antique Linen too).
Your card is just gorgeous...so many ways for my eyes to wander over it's loveliness. Pefectly embellished with Virginia's special touch.
so very pretty!!
Pretty colors and I like your tip about it is like applying makeup with a foundation first.
I like the look of the background build. Great distress feel.
Gorgeous card - love how the flower seems to glow and the text in the bg!!!!
