Hello friends!
Since it's still World-Card-making Day, I decided to share the video TODAY!
Are you ready to see a super easy yet sophisticated design with alcohol inks?
All you need is some planning and alcohol inks and a stamp of your choice.
Basically this is the year of hydrangea for me. Beside the PB one, I also have this and this.
I love this card so much that I decided to make a video of it.
However, this is likely the easiest hydrangea version that I had come up with (so far).
A stamp positioner such a MISTI or Fiskars will certainly makes it easy, but it is completely optional.
I "guesstimated" where my stamped position would be before applying the alcohol inks.
The result is lovely, isn't it?

This Hydrangea stamp is now back in stock...just saying.
You can watch the You Tube video here.
For my videos, I don't do voice-over or re-take of my process. There may be lots of imperfection, but it shows you "how it happened". If you watch toward the end, you can tell that I sounded joyful when revealing.....
Here is the card from the video.

Thank you for watching. A thumbs-up is much appreciated.

Your encouraging comments and feedback make me strive to stamp more and better!
Thank you!

Gorgeous cards, Virginia. I think I need to give my alcohol inks some love too. I had so much fun using them this summer for the OCC creative Chemistry class this summer and have been wanting to use them again. When you were pouncing the pinks, I was suddenly reminded of the Chrysanthemum from one of the W&W sets. Thanks for the inspiration!
Wow! This is awesome, Virginia! Thanks for the video!
Awesome coloring with just the right sentiment!!
Absolutely, the results are lovely and magical!!
That was a very informative video. Love how this card turned out. It's beautiful.
Wow!!! These designs are so delicious, love the colours and that stamp is simply beautiful. Hugs x
Gorgeous! You do such amazing work with alcohol inks!
Your video is delightful. What fun to 'see' and 'hear' your thought process as you created your lovely cards. Wonderful colors and excellent use of alcohol ink. Thank you.
I really enjoyed your video but, I have some questions. First, can you reuse the little pad that you were using to spread your ink? Do you need to let the inks set a certin amount of time before adhering to the card base? Is the clean up of the stamp the same as when you use watercolor ink? Thanks in advance.
Thank you for the positive comments! They make me smile!
To Stamp Lady:
1. yes, I reuse my ink pads all the time. As long as you don't switch colors, it's quite alright to use them over and over.
2. nope, the ink reacts as soon as it hit the surface.
3. yes, the clean-up (from the stamping on the alcohol inked background)is all the same with any type of stamping.
Hope this answers your questions.
Beautiful cards and thank you for the video Virginia!
Maybe this time i will have a go at this technique!
Hugs~
