Hello friends!
I was inspired by the latest Penny Blacks Stamps and I got a bit creative....
So, I made a video! Yay, go me!
There is just SO much to discover with this stamp. I admit, I had made a similar video before, but this is the first time I "altered" the theme of the stamp, I think. Instead of creating a winter scene, I made a colorful Fall card. I truly hope you get something out of watching this video.
It's a bit artsy-farsty....for a stamper like me (who can't draw), this is as dreamy as it can get.
I know some people would shy away from stamps like this. But truthfully, it is an excellent stamp for making masculine or even encouragement, thinking of you and sympathy cards.

I truly appreciate that you give this video a thumbs-up, if you enjoy or learn something from it.
There is nothing more rewarding than sharing my stamping fun with you all.
I hope you feel my passion as I put every ounce of my heart and soul into this.
PS: For the usual Virginia's Die Hard Series, it is postponed to next Saturday.
Thank you for stopping by!

Ethereal summer's day...that's what I think about when I see this card. It is just gorgeous.
I love the artistic feel of this card, Virginia! The colors are so pretty, and the scene is gorgeous!
Wonderful stamp and your card. And I love your great video.

Such a treat to watch you create this lovely card. Boy that Misti is one great tool. I think this stamp has many, many possibilities and I look forward to see what you create with it. Thank you.
Stunning Virginia. Great tutorial and and awesome results.
Gorgeous watercolor, Virginia - so dreamy!!
This looks hand painted, Virginia. It's perfectly gorgeous. Thanks for the great video.
Artsy and fabulous Virginia!!
Virginia this is breathtaking! LOVE IT!! Aren't these new stamps fun? MISTI combined with the new Penny Black brush stroke stamps have given my cardmaking a whole new lease of life! Ger x
Virginia, I love that you can make something so fantastic from a stamp. My daughter went to art school and is VERY talented in that way but I am afraid she didn't get that talent from me. IF I had such a stamp, I believe I could do this but I couldn't "paint" anything to look this good. TFS!
AMAZING! Thanks so much for this video. I've picked up some wonderful tips.
What a lovely scene! I enjoyed watching your process. I have both the MISTI and Zig markers but have never used my markers on a stamp before—yay, something new to try! One thing I'd like to know is what glue pen thing were you using at the end? It's not listed in the products and it looks like something I MUST have!
I loved your video! And am trying out your tips on PB's wintry trail stamp. Wish me luck. I agree these type of stamps are great for guy cards. Keep making videos we're learning right along with you! Hugs and many thanks!
Your comments are AWESOME!! Thank you so much for the encouragement! I feel the LOVE!
To Linda: really appreciate your positive feedback. It's awesome to know that my video prompts you to use your existing supplies. I forgot to add that glue pen link: http://shrsl.com/?e3zw Sakura Quick Glue Pen
It came with one of the Simon Says Stamp Monthly Kit, but you can buy is separately. In fact, mine is missing right now (grrrr) and it's causing me STRESS! That glue pen is a lifesaver!! For $2.99, it is SO worth it! Hope this info helps.I hope my glue pen will "show up" soon!!
Absolutely beautiful card. So serene.
Beautifully done. I love the scene the way you did it.
I've seen this stamp colored many ways, but your coloring would win the blue ribbon. Great job. I have a question.... what you laid down the sky with; is that acrylic-- the stuff shaker cards made with.
A note to Parker: The transparency you saw in my video is a piece of acetate (yes, the stuff you use for shaker cards). I used a clear scrap piece from my office supply stash. You can use the packaging from stamps, too. Hope this helps.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching your video, Virginia--fun to hear your voice, too! Gorgeous card that looks like a painting! Interesting how you clear embossed & then did a bit more watercoloring. I'm wishing I'd gotten the regular size MISTI so I could use it with my large cling stamps. Thanks for the inspiration!
Wow... This is beautifully made :)
Love it. X
