Spellbinders May Club Kits Blog Hop

 Hello friends!

๐Ÿ‘‰ For Altenew Craft Your Life "Florescence" Blog hop, please click here or scroll down.

I am super excited to be part of the Spellbinders May Club Kit Blog Hop.

1 Featured products: stamp set, paper pad and embellishments from May Monthly Card Kit

hello lovely

This stamp set from the "Koala Smile" is absolutely gorgeous. It has such a delicate and beautiful feel. So, I decided to white embossed the image on vellum.

hello lovely -001

I colored the backside of the vellum and the colors really popped behind the vellum. To make the card more interesting, I stamped the sentiment around the white card base.

hello lovely

The ephemera "Hello Lovely" from the card kit provide the sweet touch.

2 Featured products: Clear Stamp and Coordinating Die

in stitches

This card looks fun and requires no stitching and threading. stitches -001

I chose two main colors and started stamping the entire background. I die cut and added sentiment and thread around the "Cardboard Floss Bobbins" (I had to look that up to see what it's called). I then looped two colors of thread and popped it up. How cool is that!?

3 Featured products: Embossing Folder of the Month

hi -001

This embossing folder can be used as a guide for stitching. I have yet to try that. However, I find it beautiful just to add colors over it.
hi -002

I used Distress Oxide (Mustard Seed, Tattered Rose and Peacock Feather) for the shades and colors.

The ephemera made this deign extra dreamy, don't you think?

Honestly, these kits are amazing to get your creativity going. I know that once I made a few, I can't stop.... the kit pretty much made itself!

Altenew-PK Florescence-Altenew Alcohol Ink -001

My project today uses all of the project kit: embossing folder, stencil, stamps and dies!

Altenew-PK Florescence-Altenew Alcohol Ink -003

There are two main component for this card-the stamped and die cut image (on the left) and the vellum underlay dry-embossed piece (on the right) with alcohol ink.

Altenew-PK Florescence-Altenew Alcohol Ink -004

I absolutely love how the die was designed. It allows you to create a side panel or a large piece or multiple panels....however you like it.

Altenew-PK Florescence-Altenew Alcohol Ink

Of course, the embossing folder is such a great addition to the set. I dry-embossed the vellum first. I then created a colorful background by dabbing alcohol ink with alcohol blending solution.

Altenew-PK Florescence-Altenew Alcohol Ink -002

The two elements (diecut piece and vellum) came together nicely and they make quite a sophisticated look. I hope that you check out each stop of the release hop. You will be amazed how each designers come up with very creative ideas!

The Embossing Folder and Pattern Paper? Yes!

Hello friends!

I am back to share another project with  this month's Clear Stamp and Die set from Spellbinders.

This month's "Stitched Color Wheel" Clear Stamp Set and Coordinating Die set is perfect for making cards, decor, and more.

I chose to color the thread image with Alcohol Markers.together

You can use actual thread for this design, but I just wanted to try coloring since it was fun and relaxing. Next, it is about how to use this month's Embossing Folder pop with the white background.

 together -001

To coordinate the focal point, I selected one of the pattern paper (from Monthly Card Kit). I paired it up with the embossed image. I think the colors and textures are in sync and are just right!

together -002

Next time, when you are stuck with using embossing folder, try it with pattern paper and you will be delighted with this easy option.

How to Create with a Splashy Background (Without The Mess)

Hello friends!

Are you interested in creating an eye-catching and yet splashy background? The best thing is...you can do this without ruining your hard work.

Altenew-Meadow Reflections Stamp Set-003

I am using Meadow Reflections Stamp & Die Bundle as an example.

First and foremost... start spraying a splashy background. be happy

Once the paper is dried, you can then find a prefect spot for your stamping. Trim and paper to size and you can proceed to do all of your stamping.

 be happy

See, it's that easy!

be happy (2)

You do not ever have to worry about splattering. splashing and then worse yet, ruin your hard work (carefully designed and stamped images).

be happy -001

Sometimes it helps to change up the the orders of the process... today's post is one of them.

Altenew offers 15% off Ink Sprays and receive a FREE Illusion Hexagons Stencil($6.99 value) on all orders over $59 from 05/08/2022 at 12:01 AM EDT until 05/10/2022 at 11:59 PM EDT.

Layered Lilies Etched Dies

Hello friends! Wish you a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

I am back to share another floral die from the April collection (see here). Here are my two previous cards from the series.

Hollyhock Etched Dies (Through the Garden Gate Collection)-003

 Hollyhock Etched Dies

 Layered Tulips Etched Dies

Today's project is about Layered Lilies Etched Dies.

The Layered Lilies Etched Dies is from the Layered Fleur Bouquet Slimlines Collection by Becca Feeken with a set of six thin metal dies. Layer and assemble the die-cut shapes to create elegant dimensional lilies. These blooms are substantial enough to fit a variety of card sizes from A2 to A7, and slimlines.
This die set requires little coloring. As lilies are mostly commonly seen in white.

bunches of thanks -001

I was in the water-coloring mood.... I love coloring the leaves and part of the lilies.

 bunches of thanks -002

I then stamped with last month's Stamp set and pattern paper (from Monthly Card Kit).

If you are looking for an easy and intricate die, this set is to be considered. thanks bunches

I may be a bit heavy-handed with the petals and leaves of these white Calla Lilies. Here are more info about Calla Lilies:

Calla lilies (sourced here)

Calla lilies or callas (Zantedeschia species) are not true lilies. They are related to jack-in-the-pulpit and caladium. Unlike jack-in-the-pulpit, they are not hardy in Minnesota. The tuber-like rhizomes must be dug up and stored inside over the winter.

Callas have a broad, trumpet-shaped flower called a spathe that wraps around the finger-like spadix. The spathe is actually a modified leaf and may be white, yellow, peach, orange, red, pink, purple or bicolored. The spadix holds the tiny, true flowers. Its leaves are arrowhead-shaped and solid green or green with silver or white flecks.
