Stamping an Abstract Background and Winner Annoucement

Hello friends!

Today's blog post is part of the IG hop. My project was inspired by the following graphics.

photo #1 I used one of the recent release from Altenew-You are my Favorite.you are -001

I stamped  the background with various ink symbolizing all the skin colors/races.
you are -002

I also die cut the sentiment "You Are" and popped it up with 3 pieces of dies and slightly offset it.

you are

To add interest I rant the top and bottom with Ixora 3D Embossing Folder.

you are -003

Last but not the least.....

It brings me a great pleasure to announce the TWO lucky random commenters!

Every month, Altenew offers two giveaway to my followers/readers. I am thankful for your frequent visits and that you take some precious time to leave me a comment. Your feedback and comments are the energy boost that keep me going. Without further ado, here are the two winners.

Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Gerbera Revolution Outline Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in Total Prizes)

 Hello friends!

It's time to share another exciting Altenew Paint-A-Flower with you.
We are celebrating this month's PAF Gerbera Revolution Outline Stamp Set with a blog hop!

If you arrive from the blog of Nenette S. Madero, you are in the right place.
If not, come and join the fun hop for ideas and inspiration. You may find the blog hop details over Altenew Card Blog.
There are so many ways of coloring/painting this flower set. I decided to go back to the basics and used Woodless Coloring Pencils. I am not a strong color-er, but these pencils are quite user-friendly.

You can easily achieve a great coloring result simply by sharpening the pencils. Of course, I kept in mind where the light will come and kept the shading visible.

When it comes to embellishments, I used Altenew Glitter Cardstock and die cut a few hearts from Lovely Envelope Die Set.

Add Some Glitz

 Hello friends!

This Color Block Mini Petals Etched Dies is part of the Color Block Mini Shapes Collection. The set of two thin metal dies cuts six different sizes of mini petal shapes (four frames and two solids). This little set can be used many ways from making a background, a border, an accent design and beyond. Stack them or use them separately - truly endless design possibilities! Collect one or collect them all to make different motifs.

I played with these shapes and came up with an ornament-like of design. thinking of you

First of all, I picked out 4 color card-stock: 3 in pastel and one bright pink.

After assembling, I decided to add a few glitter foam sheet (linked at the end of the post).

You can certainly use any glitter paper on hand. However, I happen to love the Glitter Foam Sheet release from Spellbinders. They die cut so easily and none of the specks of glitter will fall out at all.

I am getting very busy preparing for the upcoming ScrapFest in our area. It is taking place in Kitchener, Ontario this Friday and Saturday. I will be representing Altenew and do Make and Take/Demo sessions.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stretch That Border Die

Hello friends! I am back to share a new set of border dies from Spellbinders. These two dies are going to be awesome with Scrapbook layouts, card-making.... and home decor projects etc.

The Color Block Slimline Edges Etched Dies is from the Color Block Background Collection with two thin metal dies in the set. Each die has a decorative edge – one scalloped and the other zig zag. These edges can be used with many types of card sizes from slimline to A2. Make backgrounds, borders, accent designs and beyond - truly endless design possibilities!

About 10 years ago, I was obsessed with Martha Stewart border punches... I am sure you can relate if you were into paper-crafting back in the day. Now with dies like this, it gets so much easier to create. No more paper getting stuck in the border punches!

 from all of us

This set comes with with long border dies. I am using the zig zag one. I kept the color scheme simple and tried out various ways of assembling.

This new Foam Sheet Glitter is truly awesome. It cuts well and makes absolute no mess! I added a thin strip on top and it really made the entire design pop.

You may have noticed the top and bottom pieces are overlapped.  This is the beauty of using dies like this. You can simply customize however you like it!

Bow-tiful Inspiration

Hello friends!

I have a fun project to share today. It is part of the Spellbinders April release.

Create a Flutter & Flower Bow Etched Dies from the Inspired Basics Collection.
This Create a Flutter & Flower Bow Etched Dies is from the Inspired Basics Collection. The set of eight thin metal dies creates a sweet butterfly bow topper design. It also includes a flower ensemble to use in the center of the butterfly or use as a separate accent to your projects.

I call this bow-tiful inspiration.  The design is so awesome that it required little effort to assemble the bows.

Create a Bow and Flutter

I find this bow die is perfect for making gift-toppers. This gift package was for my daughter's birthday and the decorations were just the icing on the cake.

bow -001

Since it took little time to create the bow, I could not stop just there.... I found my scrap paper (DIY inked paper) and made another card with the bow.

I used the new Color Block Slimline Edges Etched Dies for the scalloped paper.

I hope that you find today's bow-tiful post interesting. Thanks for stopping by!

Morning Flower Layering Stamp Set

Hello friends!

I have a quick and yet interesting post today.

It is all about this newly released stamp set called "Morning Flower". If you love color-layering stamp set and are intimidated by it, this stamp set will amaze you!

 Altenew-Morning Flowers Stamp & Die Bundle-001

It is super easy to line up. Each flower set and stem/leaves has a distinctive shape, you will not even need the guide/instructions to stamp.

Altenew-Morning Flowers Stamp & Die Bundle-002

Here I stamped two sets of leaves and then I jointed them with the cluster of flowers.

Altenew-Morning Flowers Stamp & Die Bundle

As you can see, one set of leaves is darker than the other. I encourage you to stamp all shades of colors when it comes to nature. No leaves are exactly identical in sizes and colors, so why should we limit them?

Altenew-Morning Flowers Stamp & Die Bundle-003

For the background, I used one of the layering stamp and applied blue.

Altenew-Morning Flowers Stamp & Die Bundle-004

This is another virtue of using layering stamp. You can simply use it for simple background to compliment your design on the foreground. Thanks for stopping by!
