Hello friends!
Its time for another Technique Tuesday feature!
I am featuring a technique on a Tuesday with Technique Tuesday products.
I saw it on Simon Says Stamp Technique Tuesday CASCADING HEARTS BORDER DIY Steel Dies 02615 — $14.99 02615 |
Cascading Border Die HERE (Technique Tuesday Shop)
With that, I am sharing another Die Cutting Technique.

With that, I am sharing another Die Cutting Technique.
What I love about this type of dies is that you can use it all year round AND it will cut out solids and also has the outlines! Once I made the first card here, I came up with this idea...

Put your thinking cap on! 💡💡
1. border dies are not just for one side: I used two sides of this border die to create a panel.
2. save the pieces: think twice before throwing away the negative parts! I almost always save mine...once I complete the entire card, THEN it's toss time!
3. plan your background ahead before you glue it on. Enough said.
4. use your pencil and make the mark: before I applied Distress Oxide to the white card stock, I pencil-marked roughly where the hearts will be. That way, I can easily decide on the colors and shades.
5 hide the imperfections: this always always happens--smudges, imperfect die cut would show up unexpectedly. I used the solid heart die to cover up some mistakes! What mistake!!?
6. don't forget the Rule of Three: see the three popped-up hearts (green, coral and yellow)? Well, they were strategically positioned to create a "visual triangle"!

What I share today are pretty simple stuff. But they are good reminders, aren't they?
Hope you enjoy this feature.
