Hello friends!
Hope your August is going swimmingly well. I felt that I took another blog break and....
here are are, August is nearly over and so is the summer!
World in Bloom (Scrapbook. com )
World In Bloom (Simon Says Stamp)
I was part of the Altenew Instagram August Release Blog Hop last week and shared a few projects. Today's post is compiling the two projects with the same die set.
I totally enjoyed creating this card. Each element was fun to add. There are a few techniques involved with this project: color-blending, die-cutting and dry-embossing.
To create the globe, I simply decided on the colors and textures first. I then went ahead to die cut.
As you can see that there are world map on the globe. That was because I took out the circle die and ran it with the Traveler's Atlas 3D Embossing Folder. (shop Scrapbook. com HERE)
Once dry-embossed, I fit each piece and assembled them like a puzzle.
To make the globe more interesting, I added floral dies around it. The gold stand and trim make this card extra special. Isn't the card sweet?
The 2nd project is focusing on the use of color card-stock. The newly release Altenew Color Card-stock made this an easier task. I used Volcano Cardstock and Lagoon Cardstock
First, I layered the color paper and then diecut the World In Bloom (Altenew shop)
By adding extra foam, I popped up the globe for extra dimension.
With the stand, I used Paper Bag Cardstock. The yellow (Butter Cream)
strip is from this collection also.
I hope that you enjoy seeing this post and my projects. Thank you so much for stopping by!
