Dotted Blossom and Altenew Blog Hop Winner Announcement

Hello friends!
Many of you commented that you love Dotted Blossom during the blog hop.
Well, I am back with the 2nd version!
s
For the outline, I used a neutral colors instead of bold black outline.

happy birthday-006

I then just colored the image withe Watercolor Brush Markers.
I took out  Geo Frame Die and die cut the diamond shape with Gold Foil Cardstock.

happy birthday-002

I highly recommend getting the coordinating die.
Why?

happy birthday-001

Because no matter haw poor the coloring is (such as mine here), the delicate branch die will always make your design a stand-out.

happy birthday

I also use the same blue watercolor to add to the sentiment.
This way, the entire design looks more cohesive!
 Hope you like it!

Add Layers with Wonderland Stamp Set and Sales!

Hello friends!
s
Wonderland stamp (Altenew)
Wonderland Die and stencil (listed below)

I am popping in with a colorful card.
It is about adding layered look with a simple stamp set.

just saying hello

I will list the following key elements on adding layers without the bulk.

1. masking: this is likely the easiest way to pack a lot of images without adding layers.

just saying hello-001

2. stenciling: partial-stenciling helps to extra patterns and colors to the design.
just saying hello

3. Washi Tape: The thin Wahsi Tape adds so much color and layers without bulking up the surface.

4. Add some shine: I added gold sequins and gold foil paper. AND you can also see the white splatter! Yes, the white splatter make the shine pop even more!

More Tulips Creation

Hello friends!
s

I am popping in with a quick post about Exotic Tulips.
This Stamp set comes with die and stencil as a bundle.
It is said to be one of the most popular sets in the Feb. release! Can you see why?

Today's card is a little different from my previous card.
It is bright and simple.
I love it

I started out with one layer design and had a blast using masks.
Part of me was feeling lazy....so, I decided just to do some outline stamping as well.

I love the way
It turned out to be lovely to have layered and outline stamps in the mix.
Just when  I thought things were going well as planned....I added some shine with the Tonic Shimmer pen. The glitter oozed out in a huge blob as I tried to squeeze out some more. Alas, the tulip has to be cover. this, you see there is one tulip that was popped up.

I love the way you brighten my day

Stamp Focus: Baroque Motif

Hello friends!

Warning: Photo-Heavy Post
It's my turn to day to share 3 projects over Altenew Card Blog.
First of all, are you loving the February Stamp/Die/Stencil release?
Be sure to join the inspiring blog hop!

The beautiful Baroque Motif Stamp/Die and Stencil Bundle is our Stamp Focus.

s

As you can see, Baroque Motifs Stamp is a very ornate and detailed. This stamp set evokes a sense of luxury and richness.
Altenew-BaroqueMotif_Virginia#3

My first card is a classy and elegant take on this style.
With the largest stamp and die, I embossed it with Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder . I then inked up the white space inside the motif with Almond Butter. This was made possible with the negative mask.
Altenew-BaroqueMotif_Virginia#4
It was easy to add dimensions and details thanks to the coordinating die. I purposely offset the stacked dies which greatly enhanced the 3D Effect. Basically, you can easily create your own chipboard for scrap-booking and home decor projects. Altenew-BaroqueMotif_Virginia#2

The sentiment from Garden Silhouette is perfect for this celebratory card. After splattering the background with Antique Gold Metallic Ink Spray, I added a piece of Vellum and topped it off with gold sequins. Doesn't it look almost "priceless"? The 2nd card is slightly more involved and much more colorful. Altenew-BaroqueMotif_Virginia#7-001

On an angle, I embossed the the largest motif with Caribbean Sky Blue Embossing Powder. The following photos will help you see the steps that I took to create this card. Altenew-BaroqueMotif_Virginia#1

Starting from top photos to bottom:
  1. use the negative mask and colored the space in Coral Berry, Tide Blue , Maple Yellow and Orange Cream
  2. cover part of the card and add splatter with Antique Silver Metallic Ink Spray
  3. -4. remove the paper and add a few more splatter and let dry
Altenew-BaroqueMotif_Virginia#8

The sentiment (from Dotted Bloom) was embossed and inked with exactly the same colors as the motif. The card was embellished with a few Enamel Dots and sequins. Altenew-BaroqueMotif_Virginia#9

For my last card, I could not create one without the Watercolor Brush Markers. Altenew-BaroqueMotif_Virginia#5

The smaller motifs was embossed in Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder. The color contrast of the white motifs and Midnight Violet, Lagoon and Dust is so striking! Altenew-BaroqueMotif_Virginia#6

I added a piece of vellum (die cut from Geo Frames Die) and adhered the white-embossed sentiment on top. Altenew-BaroqueMotif_Virginia#7

The Enamel Dots and silver strings really added a touch of elegance to this design. I hope today's post helps you to get acquainted with this elegant Baroque Motif Stamp/Stencil and Die Bundle.

They really make any designs shine!
