Have you ever thought of what you would bring with you if you were stuck on an island?
While I was stamping, I thought of this question and immediately, I know that I would pack...
Butterfly Charmer (Penny Black)
is coming with me! I think as long as I have inks and paper, I can make many cards with this background stamp. I simply can not stop making cards with it! LOL
Do you know which stamp you would take with you to an island?
My inquisitive mind likes to know.
I started out with stamping the Butterfly Charmer in brown ink and with MISTI's help, I clear-embossed it. I had lots of fun applying watercolors with Kuretake (36).
It gives me such satisfaction when I can add various colors to each butterfly.
I highly recommend that you stamp a couple of large background stamps and do the coloring in front of a TV...which is exactly what I did. So therapeutic and relaxing!

I would probably take Mama elephant 's freestyle floral....I use it a lot.
I can see why the butterflies Virginia, it is a very versatile set...you can create endless cards. This one is beautiful.

Beautiful card. One stamp...can't imagine. That would be like choosing one child. I don't think I could take enough paper etc. for an island. I do know I would take a book/books.
I can see why you would bring that set! Your gold embossing and watercolored butterflies are amazing, I love this! Just thinking about that question makes me anxious, I could never pick just one!

Wow. This is stunning. Some of the pictures look like gold embossing. That's a great color of brown ink. I'm ashamed to say, I haven't inked up my butterfly stamp yet. It's sitting on my desk whimpering at me to use it. Not enough hours in the day. Think I'll take your suggestion...stamp it, emboss it and color it during the baseball game on TV.
