It's time for Altenew's Altenew Build-a-Flower Chrysanthemum release!
Build-A-Flower: Chrysanthemum set includes 1 stamp set (12 images) and 1
coordinating die set (4 dies).
Chrysanthemums are beautiful flowers which symbolize optimism and joy. With an abundance of petals, these perennials resemble pom-poms. Chrysanthemums bloom in many colors, so you can be creative with your ink choices. We have included two encouraging
sentiments to help bring joy to your loved ones. This special product is only sold as a set, not individually.
This set is so easy to line up as there is no outline images. Its artsy style allows you to layer the Chrysanthemum however you like it.
I know Chrysanthemum rarely come in bright red, but I felt the urge to create something vibrant...
I mostly stamped it in Coral Bliss and added the Cosmo Red in one of the layers.
To add the WOW factor, I gold-embossed the last layer. As you can see, it really shines!
There are 4 gold elements in this: gold-embossing, gold glitter Washi Tape and gold splatter.
The neat thing about this die is that you can PARTIALLY pop up the petals! I added varied depth of foam tape to achieve various height. It may look subtle, but in my view, it makes a difference!
For the leaves, I doubled-up the foam tape to make them pop even more!

Love your card! When I saw the Altenew blog post earlier this morning, I looked at all of the examples and immedistrly knew the red Chrysanthemum with the gold was done by Virginia Lu. I clicked on it and I was right! Love the vibrant flower and the gold.

Oh, the gold embossing on the final layer is just fantastic. You definitely succeeded in making a vibrant flower! I also really like the semi-ghostly leaves behind the flower. They add a lot of texture to the scene, but they don't take over, which I sometimes fear I do with leaves. What a lovely card; thanks for sharing!
