Altenew Inspiration Challenge

 Hello friends!

 I am excited to host this month's Inspiration Challenge over Altenew Card Blog.  I don't know about you, but I really miss traveling. For this month's inspiration, I dig through my travel photos and came across this bright and happy photo. It was taken in summer of 2017 while my family and I cruised through Liverpool, UK. I also got to meet up with my Altenew Teammate Lydia Evens during that memorable trip! How cool was that!?

 This color combo is perfect for creating any bright and colorful projects.

 

 Based on the suggested colors, I used Parrot, Coral Bliss and Sea Breeze. You can use any colors that are close to this color palette. I set out to create a few simple flora images by using Simple Nesting Flower Layering Die.

For the petals, I inked up the paper with Pastel Sunrise and Coral Bliss. For the leaves, I used Parrot. To add more textures and patterns, I stamp each one of them with Tie Dye Motif Stamp Set. 

 

 After assembling  the flowers and leaves, I gave a quick spritz of Iridescent Shimmer Spray. Once dry, I can see the metallic shine coming through!

 

For the background, I applied Sea Breeze Crisp Dye Ink with the Color Block Heart Stencil. To simulate the patterns on the inspiration photo, I turned the hearts sideways.  To compliment the flowers with added textures,  I ran the card stock with Angled Mosaic 3D Embossing Folder. 

 

For the sentiment, I used Bold Thanks Die and this completed this bright and happy design. I hope you love this fun and fancy-free photo and join the fun challenge.
