Altenew Educators’ "Secret Card Recipe" Blog Hop and Linky Party + Giveaway

 Hello friends!

I am delighted to join our Altenew Educators Blog Hop today. Ever since I started as the Coordinator for Altenew Educator program in 2017, I don't think I have ever missed one Educator blog hop. This group of educators are near and dear to me and they are all super talented!

In today's blog hop, we are sharing our Secret Card Recipe. Yes, we all have some hidden card-making secrets and today's the day for some exciting reveal!

If you arrive from the blog of Roteja Galvan, you are in the right place.
For details and inspiration of this op, please visit Altenew Card Blog.

For my secret card recipe, I like to share the importance of using TEXT (aka sentiments) in the design. Craft-A-Flower Epiphyllum Layering Die Set -Well Read Stamp Set

For nearly every stamp set comes with a few sentiments. We normally use just one sentiment at a time, BUT, do you know that you can create beautiful text background with the existing sentiment sets?

Craft-A-Flower Epiphyllum Layering Die Set -Well Read Stamp Set -003

I am using Well Read Stamp Set as my example.

About this set: it is entirely about quotes and
features fourteen inspiring and motivational quotes from literature. Whether you love reading or not, you will find something to love with these meaningful sentiments! Each sentiment features a modern pairing of fonts and would be perfect to use on the outside or inside of cards, as well as on scrapbook layouts, journals, bookmarks, and more!

Craft-A-Flower Epiphyllum Layering Die Set -Well Read Stamp Set -002

I am loving this month's Craft-a-Flower Epiphyllum.
The dramatic shape of the leaves and petals make the focal point a stand-out.

For the text background, I stamped Well read stamp sentiment all over a piece of white card stock. I then trimmed it to size and used it as a text backdrop for  Craft-a-Flower Epiphyllum. Craft-A-Flower Epiphyllum Layering Die Set -Well Read Stamp Set -004

I also stamped one of the quote from the set for this design. What do you think? I hope today's post inspires you to look at the sentiment sets in your stash. Or perhaps you 'd want to get that Well Read Stamp Set  simply because it is so versatile.

Love the text background! I am now adding that stamp set to my wish list. Based from your craft supplies, I gather that you created the colored paper you used for the Epiphyllum? Love how it turned out!

You have been very busy this week! And I am so glad that I have found your blog :-) Altenew makes the most beautiful floral stamps...but I am in love with their variety of sentiment stamps too. So this card is the perfect way to showcase that. What a great idea for a background.
