CAS Stitched Alphabet

Hello friends!

I am popping in to share another simple stitched card.

Here's my previous project with the letter A.

I happened to have thread that is close to the color of Glitter Foam Sheet that I have. The Mono chromatic theme will totally work in this.

I placed a piece of vellum as an extra layer and buffer. It works for me!

Altenew May 2022 Lovely in Lace Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

 Hello friends!

Warning: photo-heavy post

Welcome to Altenew Lovely In Lace Collection Release Blog Hop! I am excited to share one project with you other than the one in Altenew Card Blog.
If you arrive from the blog of Carol Hintermeier , you are in the right place!

All the details about this blog hop, please visit Altenew Card Blog

Feature products #1: Mariposa 3D Embossing Folder, Sentiment Strip Stamp 3, Metallic Watercolor and Brushes Bundle

This Mariposa 3D Embossing Folder is impressive, isn't it? I only used 2/3 of  the butterfly and it looks absolutely amazing as is.

I took out the Metallic Metallic Watercolor and gently colored away. It requires little paint and water to color the image, so I used regular 110 lb cardstock and it worked just fine.

I also shared two other cards over today's Altenew Card Blog. Now that it's springtime, this

Feature products #2: Hosta 3D Embossing Folder, Itty Bitty Branches Die Set , Fancy Congrats Die

This gorgeous embossing folder is any plant lover's dream. I started out by inking up the background in assorted green inks. I then ran the Classic White Solar White Cardstock with the Hosta 3D Embossing Folder.

I added a strip of vellum along with the Congrats Die Set. This square card is now perfect for any congratulatory occasion!

With the Altenew ink blending tools, I was able to highlight the Hosta leaves beautifully. Once it's trimmed to 4 1/2" x 4 1/4", I added the watercolored Itty Bitty Branches Die Set for colors and accents.

Feature products #3: Cherry Plum Blossom 3D Embossing Folder-Golden Trim Washi Tape

Cherry Plum Blossom 3D Embossing Folder really got me inspired! This card proves just how versatile that embossing folder can be.

I thought the watercolor look will be beautiful with this Cherry Plum Blossom 3D Embossing Folder and that's what I did. All you need are Soothe and Smooth Watercolor Paper and Artists' Watercolor 24 Pan Set.

To enhance the details, I highlighted the dry-embossed ridges of the blossoms with the Fine Liner Pen Set (size 01) and Metallic Watercolor 14 Color Pan Set. The Gold Trim Washi Tape-highlighted sentiment (from Victoria Greenhouse) completed the card.

A Colorful Butterfly Card

Hello friends!

I am fluttering by with a butterfly card today. Expressing through colors is sort of my thing to do. That's why my butterflies are super colorful. This butterfly stamp is FREE today only (details below).

I created a large sheet of watercolor paper with the Watercolor Brush Markers. Once the paper was dry, I stamped and die cut 8 butterflies

Based on the colors, I arranged two cut out into one butterfly. Therefore, you get the dimensions.

Basically, I let the images and colors to speak for themselves. There is little else to be done.

A simple Hello card is well.... simple to create! I love this butterfly image!

Background Check

Hello friends!

I am popping in to share a card that I created for Altenew Educators IG Blog Hop. I had the idea of doing this "Background Check" theme and everyone in the hop seemed to like the idea.

I will point out the special feature/techniques in this project in the following highlights.

1. text background: you do not need a background stamp to create a text background.

2. keep the focal point simple: here I stamped and stenciled the image from Be Kind Stamp Set.

3. Add Textures: it's easy to use embossing folders to add textures! You can add part of the dry-embossing into the design. You can dry-emboss directly, or just add a strip of dry-embossed image, it really makes the background more interesting.

A note about using Embossing Folders.... you can use any nonseasonal ones. Here I used Eggcentric Embossing Folder for the top and bottom. Embossing Folders like this is not limited for Easter only!

4. Spare no glitter and splatter: adding a touch of glitter and splatter make the project look artsy. It requires little effort!

Combining Diecut Images

Hello friends!

I have a super fun project to share. This time, I am using my new favorite along with my old favorites. Sometimes, you've got to mix up the sets and have a play with it.

Itty Bitty Branch Die Set (only Scrapbook.com has it in stock). Itty Bitty Flowers Die Set is a good alternative.

I had a few leftover pieces from the card above. So, I used up the rest for today's project.I was inspired by the watercolor mix of the branches. I decided to use the vase for them.

I chose the Nesting Slimline  Rectangles Die Set. I love the convenience and ease of using regular business envelope for the mailing.

The alcohol Ink paper pad was idea for the branches in the vase. You can simply create your own blend if you already have the Vase die.

Simple Stitched Card

Hello friends!

I have a fun card to share. This time, I am using one of the die from Spellbinders May release.

Stitched a Etched Dies from the Stitched Alphabet Collection

There are two pieces of dies in each of the alphabet set. I did the simple stitching with orange thread,

It didn't take long to stitch. Once I finished that, I created the background with the Embossing Folder of the Month.  I paired it with the Stitched Alphabet Descriptors Sentiments Clear Stamp Set that is specifically designed for the stitched dies.
