Background Check

Hello friends!

I am popping in to share a card that I created for Altenew Educators IG Blog Hop. I had the idea of doing this "Background Check" theme and everyone in the hop seemed to like the idea.

 I will point out the special feature/techniques in this project in the following highlights.

1. text background: you do not need a background stamp to create a text background. 

2. keep the focal point simple: here I stamped and stenciled the image from Be Kind Stamp Set.

3. Add Textures: it's easy to use embossing folders to add textures! You can add part of the dry-embossing into the design. You can dry-emboss directly, or just add a strip of dry-embossed image, it really makes the background more interesting.

 

 A note about using Embossing Folders.... you can use any nonseasonal ones. Here I used Eggcentric Embossing Folder for the top and bottom. Embossing Folders like this is not limited for Easter only!

4. Spare no glitter and splatter: adding a touch of glitter and splatter make the project look artsy. It requires little effort!
