In the middle of January, I crave seeing things colorful....
Well, at least it's all white and snow in my part of Canada.

This Stunning Cosmo is just the ticket!
Cream colored card stock is not the first thing I would reach, but this time I decided to challenge myself to use it for my stamping.
I chose all warm colors and had a blast creating a flowery scene!
Ding---> Pop up that sentiment!
When you stamp a gorgeous background, you wonder how and where you can insert your sentiment....well, popping it up seems like a great solution! Not only it solves the tight spot issue, it also adds the dimensions and interest.
Today's card serves a great example of popping that sentiment. I used a piece of wood-grain pattern paper from Altenew New Day Paper Pad. The splitting of the sentiment is also a good idea, don't you think?
I also highly recommend Stunning Cosmo.

To give this card an extra oomph, I added a bit of splatter over the flowers!
I really love the result that the splatter gives!

Your card is so pretty - it gives hope to see spring flowers outside soon (we have no snow here in Germany yet, but it's cold und gray most of the time).

This IS a bright and cheerful card Virginia. The Cosmos are beautiful and I like how you broke up the sentiment and popped up the birthday greeting. Very nice indeed.
We only have a skiff of snow right now in my part of Canada however, that won't last long I am sure....THAT is when I will hole up in my craft Rom and make some colourful cards, haha! Today I am off to visit our grandson and celebrate his 4th Birthday. Take care and stay warm!
Only one snow so far in my part of Virginia, but that can change at a moments notice it seems! It is wintry looking most of the time, so a warm toned card sounds like a great idea. The Stunning Cosmos. Stamp set is a very pretty stamp set and looks great in the warm tones. I also like the way you popped up the sentiment on the woodgrained card stock.

Those cosmos could brighten any winter day. Think your choice of cream colored cardstock made the colors appear even more vivid and happy. Beautiful card and, yay!, another chance to use patterned paper.
