Spellbinders 3D Embossing Folder (April)

What is the difference between standard (2D) and 3D Embossing Folders, you ask? The 3D Embossing Folders apply a much deeper and richer texture to your materials. Both embossing folder clubs will feature a unique embossing option each month. They will generally complement each other.

 

This month's 3D Embossing Folder "3D Patchwork" is perfect for making cards, decor, and more.

This 3D embossing folder is actually quite large. I swiped all Distress inks over and die cut it. I also saved the rest of the pieces and created another card. I will be share it some time next week.

 The extra flowers are from this month's Clear Stamp and Coordinating Die.

 By die-cutting two pieces each, I was able to create two panels and jointed it as one on the card front.

 

  

 

This card truly is simple and yet so captivating thanks to the lacy designs.

Dies and Coordinating stencils are all the rage now. This Watercolor Roses

is the prime example. That Hello die sentiment from the set is an extra bonus! 

Without the stamped outlines, these stenciled images look much like the no-line coloring.

 

 

 

 Let's not forget that stunning dry-embossed background. The

 Luxurious Motifs 3D Embossing Folder is simply ....luxurious.

This card truly is definitely one of my favorites.

Feature products #2: Bird Bath Die Set (SSS), Exuberant Paper Pad ( Altenew, SSS)
 

I truly delighted myself in assembling this card.

 

With the Exuberant Paper Pad, this design came together very quickly.

 

 For the birds and bird bath, I used Gradient Cardstock. The sentiment is from Sunrise in the Park.

If you love stamping a scene, this is the set to be considered!

 

This Sunrise in the Park features outdoor elements that you would likely see in a public park. This set includes a bench, a gazebo, a tree, a fountain, and a lamppost. 

 

 

 

I love using the solid/shadow images! This gives a realistic look to each of the silhouette images.

Rolling Hills 3D Embossing Folder (Altenew, SSS)

 

 

You may not notice the dry-embossed background from Rolling Hills 3D Embossing Folder. That is because the gorgeous Wrought Iron Gate Die Set

 is blocking the view.  

 

 

The Brushed Silver Metallic Cardstock truly is fitting for the gate design. One must not overthink the obvious.... I thought the silver look really take this design to the next level.

I closed the gate with the sign "with love" from Botanical Wreath Builder

All-NEW--->Hanging Flowers Layering Die Set

 Hello friends!

Today's the April Stamp/Dies/ Hot Foil release day for Altenew. I am sharing a brand new project from this release. One of the gorgeous die sets is called "Hanging Flowers Layering Die"

This die set really is easy to use. Each larger petal comes with embossed lines and it allows you to get the smaller die pieces. Hence, it is super easy to assemble.

 For the petals and leaves, I used Altenew Gradient Cardstock. ( Red Cosmos)

I also paired it up with the intricate embossing folder called "Luxurious Motifs 3D Embossing Folder"

The dry-embossed vellum with "Luxurious Motifs 3D Embossing Folder" looks absolutely stunning. If you have not tried using vellum with embossing folder, you should give it a go. The heavier vellum is likely more suitable as it may cause alight cracking on the thinner vellum.

I am listing the special features of this card:

For the white-embossed image, I added an extra piece of coordinating die underneath. This really shows off the image better over the background.

I also added an extra scalloped piece with stamped sentiment.

 For my project, I decided to create something uplifting and positive. This card is dedicated to Altenew.

For this project, I die cut all the gold elements with Zero Waste Leaf Pattern Die. I even saved the small/tiny circles. For the vase, I created a colorful paper with Altenew Brush Markers and let dry.

I then made the die cut with Versatile Vases. Last but not least,  I added textures by ran it through the die cut machine with Wicker Texture 3D Embossing Folder.

Last but not least, I created a special project with the Billowing Peonies Complete Bundle. 

 

 

I actually used just the stamp set and Feeling Dotty Stencil , along with Embossing Paste. I also used one of the new coloring products (not yet released), So this project is a great pre-view.

 

 

 As you can see, the  the Billowing Peonies Complete Bundle is a huge and beautiful stamp set.
