My Crafty Announcement!!!

Hello friends!
Today is a SUPER exciting day for me! ๐Ÿ˜
s
I can finally share my crafty news that is happening in 2017.
You see, back in November, I got this happy e-mail inviting me to join the Altenew Card Design Team (wh-aaa-t?)!! See announcement here! I literally did some silly clapping and a happy little dance! I also got Dr. John to read the e-mail and made sure I was not day-dreaming.....Well, I will spare you the visual details. LOL.๐Ÿ˜‰

I have been a fan of Altenew since its first launch in 2014 and have loved all the innovative designs and trends that this stamp company brings to stampers/card-makers all around the world. Altenew's "Act Local, Think Global" approach in their products and marketing is very inspiring. Working for this amazing stamp company definitely is a dream come true.๐Ÿ˜Š

For the announcement post, I am sharing a new project with you.
I Adore You

I always love using vellum in my project. For this card, I actually made my own color vellum paper with the Altenew Cool Summer Inks by swiping a few ink pad over regular vellum paper.
You can control the depth of blue (or any color) and create interesting gradient of colors, too!

edited: the vellum took about 5-10 min. to dry. I dabbed it on paper to make sure they would not bleed/contaminate the paper. That's it.

I adore you #2

Once dried (the hardest part), I white-embossed the images and fussy cut them out. The details from the stamps makes this card a stand-out.

I adore you #3

2017 is looking very bright to me in my crafting world. I can't wait to share my Altenew creations with you (the upcoming new release is absolutely splendid!!). To celebrate this special occasion, I have a $15 Altenew online store gift card to give away. One of you who leave me a comment here in this post AND the Altenew blog will get a chance to win. So, please be sure to leave me some love in BOTH blogs (here in this post and my Altenew announcement post). Please comment by midnight 11:59pm, EST Jan. 24th, 2017. I will announce the winner on Jan. 25th.

Thank you once again for your amazing feedback and support.
