Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge #402

s

Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge !! Thank you for joining us for the Anything Goes Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too :-)

This week the challenge is...

New Something

We are using Simon Says Stamp products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some, we love to see them used :-)

For my project, I took out the latest Die-cember Heart of Flower Die.
s
This die is one of my favorites from this release.

You probably know that I love using Distress Crayons for adding colors. After I did the die cut, I took out all the crayons I have an applied the inks to the heart with a water brush pen. I purposely left the cutout intact (by adding some Washi Tape on the back) and did all the coloring. This really makes it easy to color as the pieces are secured in place.
XOXO

I also use my latest craft item: Ganzai Tambi Starry Colors (Set of 6)

s

You see these pigment ink blends beautifully with any watercolor and even Distress Crayons. The sheen from the Ganzai Tambi Starry Colors really makes the project shine!

I did the inlaid die cutting by placing the colored piece to a new die cut piece like a puzzle. I stamped the sentiment with the new ink Delicata Black Shimmer. It works much like a VersaFine Onyx Black Ink, except it leaves a SHINE once stamped. This card was easy and therapeutic to create. 😊

I hope you are inspired to try something new. You can create anything with the new craft stash. Or you can create a card with themes like a new job, a new home or a new baby!

As always, Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store!
s
So now it's YOUR turn ! Happy Crafting !!
s
There are fabulous Give Aways and inspiration from fabulous designers on a daily basis over on the Simon Says Stamp Blog . If you haven't subscribed by email, you may want to do so you don't miss out.

s
You have until Wed. 8am Eastern Time to join in :-)

This is beautiful, Virginia!!! Ya know, I've been wondering about distress crayons lately... i was wondering how they work. So you like them then? I only have 1 that came in a SSS card kit awhile back, but I've never used it. Not really sure how to. I guess I could check them out on YT... What do you think of them? Do you add water?

Okay, we can do anything we want, correct? I don't have a die cutter so I can't make this card. However, I can do something similar if I fussy cut stuff. I'm guessing fussy cutting means cutting things out by hand, right? No one has ever said and I'm just guessing that's what it means.
I'm sure I have some SS stamps in my stash. I will have to check, although you did say we could use any stamps but SS would also be good.
To win $50 to SS would be a dream some true. I want to get creative! Can we enter more then once?

Forgot to say if I had a die cutter this card would be so me. This is the kind of card I would make with a die cutter and those colors, a-may-zing! I see you used my favorite color, yellow which is always a plus. Because of my 93 year old dad being in and out nursing homes, our home and the hospital, I haven't even finished my Christmas cards! However, I can do both and get a card in for this challenge.

Thanks so much for your comments, everyone!

Gail: Yes, you can get creative and fussy cut (meaning cutting out by hands). You can enter multiple entries with ANY stamps you have as long as the theme fits. I hope you find some time to get creative. It is challenging to look after aging parents. But some ME time is good for the soul and you need it. Wish you a happy and healthy 2017.
