Flower Card with Paint and Ink Splatter!

Hello friends!
A quick post about a flower card with lots of ink splatter and spray paint.

I created my project with the new Bright Blossoms.

When we think about splatter, paint, sprays....we'd immediately think of being messy and uncontrolled...well, a hot mess!

thinking of you-001

Well, take a look at today's card and perhaps you might give this messy but controlled look a try!?
I created a colorful background first and then I did the die cut.

With the inlaid die, the flower tucked in nicely into the design. I also toned down the vibrancy with Gesso and lots of white watercolor droplets. I am quite pleased how it turned out.....not a hot mess after all.

I hope that this card inspires you to try and create something with spray, mist and splatter. There is a challenge going on over Virginia's View and you can enter your creation (hint, hint).
You can get some Penny Black ideas from my last post (see here).
The Penny Black Sale is not over yet, but do HURRY if you want certain stamps and dies.

No, it's not a hot mess. It's a very creative, colorful background tempered by a lovely inlaid die cut flower. And your gold thread is truly the finishing touch. Quite lovely.

Well I'm all about being messy and uncontrolled, but the controlled version looks GORGEOUS when you do it! Beautiful card!

I love how the splatter goes from watery and murky to detailed and discrete!
