Peerless Watercolors

Hello friends!
I don't know about you...
but I feel a little "guilty" after I got Kuretake Watercolors and have since stopped using Peerless Watercolors. Does that ever happen to you? Of course, all the supplies that we have acquired are like our favorite child....it's impossible to pick a favorite, right (wink!!)?

So....I took out my Peerless watercolors and decided to try them out with Bamboo Rose.

Be warned: super bright card ahead.

Altenew Bamboo Rose

I started out with the Platinum Embossing Powder. I then just had so much fun adding shades and colors. Before you know it, this card became so vibrant and colorful....which was not my intention. However, I like it!

Did you noticed the yellow drops in the background?
Yeah, as an impulsive stamper, I sometimes do things on a whim. Not sure how that happened, I brushed yellow on a piece of acetate/transparency and I started to dabbing it away. At first, I thought to myself: " Oh noooo......, what have I done!!? The yellow looks aweful in this". I then walked way and once the yellow was dry, I thought: "hey...it's not so bad!!" LOL
I think that's called "the beauty of experiment".

Do you know that October 2016 Card Kit is out?

You're so funny. The description of the yellow had me chuckling! It looks like it was meant to be! Your card is just beautiful. I love the pretty blue background, and the embossed flowers are lovely in all their bold colors. The black frame really sets everything off perfectly. Such a pretty card; just love it! Bev

LOL. Actually, the yellow looks great on it. A beautiful card!
I have been trying to find Peerless WC locally for 3 years (I don't shop online.) and I can't get them anywhere. I'll have to wait until next year when I go to the U.S. :(

Yes, my Peerless colors do feel a bit neglected...thanks for reminding me. They look phenomenal on your card...so beautiful. Also, how could you NOT like those yellow spots...I mean, their yellow so they're perfect, right?

This is so gorgeous, Virginia! I love how you blended your watercolors on the flowers and leaves, and I think the yellow drops in the background are fabulous! Thanks for reminding me to use my metallic embossing powders, too...Liquid Platinum adds so much elegance to this card!

I often think 'walking away' is the best answer to an oops. Virginia your card is truly lovely. Again, your colors are excellent; however, I think it's the embossing that is the star.
