I am popping in with a quick post about this stamp set that also came as part of the 2017 January Monthly Card Kit.
Aren't the details amazing? If you love to get inky this winter, this is your best bet.
I am not sure if you notice ... but the stamping of the snowflakes has a various blue in them. Have you tried stamping on pattern paper. It can work very nicely!
My next card is bit artsy and organic.

As usual, I sprayed my inks and went to bed.

The next morning, I have something to make with my stamps! Yay! I did white embossing over he the inked background and stamped "I choose Angels" in Navy Blue.
Lastly, I want to share a photo of me and my hubby.
This is us.... exactly 8 days ago in Fort Lauderdale Airport. We got off the cruise ship early. Dr. John was catching up with his beauty sleep and I was happy to get sporadic Wi-fi on my IPad. We waited many hours at the airport to board the plane. It was busy and crowded at times, but we never felt unsafe. My heart goes out to the people who went through a tragic ordeal at that very airport yesterday. In this day and age, I no longer take safe traveling for granted. Right?

Ooh, that background! What a beauty! (And glad you guys are safe and missed all the scary events)
Two beautiful snowflake cards, Virginia! So glad you and John traveled safely and so sad for those who didn't yesterday!!
Beautiful cards Virginia and thanks to God that you were able to travel safely. Such a sad event.
Your cards are beautiful Virginia, as always. I have to say the second one is gorgeous. I am so glad your and your husband traveled without incident but am very sorry for those
people the other day! So very, very sorry!
Love your snowflake cards, Virginia! I am praying for those affected by the Ft. Lauderdale tragedy. Our youngest son flew out of and into that same airport when he visited with us over the holidays. Our families were fortunate. It is so sad that others were not.
Love your backgrounds & embossing, V! And that embossing...ooh,la-la!! So glad you and your love are safe & sound. It's a strange world these days.
Hugs,
Sharon
Your cards are gorgeous and I love those sentiments in the set. I am also so glad you got home safely after that tragic ordeal.
Your snowflake cards are excellent. I think the sentiment is excellent also. Love your color choice blue on blue--exceptional. The white embossing is perfect. The sentiment is perfect and stamping 'I choose angels' in a navy ink -- simply brilliant. Glad your trip ended safely.
Virginia your cards are stunning! I love the double colored snowflakes on the first one and wow, that inky background is so beautiful. It must be a pleasure to find this result in the morning! I got my kit yesterday, and it is one of the best for me, it got me into the flow and I can't get out of it!!
Perfect snowy cards! Love your use of patterned paper on the first (especially love gingham) and varied blues are fabulous. Such fun sentiments, too. Your sprayed inks on the second card turned out beautifully. Definitely has a wintery feel to it. Glad you made it home safely; and yes, we can no longer take safe air travel for granted...what a shame. Have a great week. Bev
So pretty! Love the sprayed background. I'm am so glad your trip was safe. So scary to think you can be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I like all of the fancy snowflakes Virginia, these are wonderful cards! Glad you're home safe and sound. My heart goes out to those involved in yet another tragedy as well.
You do snowflakes like no other.
Love your cards, the background on the second and how vivid they both are.
That photo of you and DH at the airport made me smile first and then when I read what you wrote, a chill went down my spine. You are so right. I never take traveling for granted either. What a crazy world we live in!
So happy you are home safe!
Hugs~
Loving the misting on that second card. What a difference a week makes. Safe traveling is definitely something not to be taken for granted these days. I am amused that Dr. John took his shoes off.....or maybe he just didn't put them back on after security? ;)
Ooooh, I never thought about heat embossing THEN spraying.... I've only used my sprays to make backgrounds, but what a great idea!! I love what you've done here!! I really love the distress sprays. They're quite fun to play with, aren't they?? haha, I like your little "room" you guys created there at the airport. I wasn't aware of any tragedy so I'm sorry to hear that. We don't have television and I stay away from the news as much as possible so I miss out on all that sadness. Praying for anyone involved in that tragedy you speak of.
