Hibiscus Bouquet & Floral Ink Bundle

This is my 1st take on this stamp set. I decided to do something a little different.... instead of stamping on white card stock, I opted to stamp on a light kraft card-stock. It was all good until I had trouble doing the outline stamps. I stamped the solid images first.
I must admit, I was trying very hard to line up the stamps at first, but later I realized that it's taking the FUN out of my stamping. I was too eager to stamp it correctly! An inner voice told me:" Lighten up, this stamp set is supposedly to be loose and fun....".
Oh yeah, I think that makes a lot of sense. 😌

Once I got a little relaxed about how "they are supposed to be", the card came together nicely, I think! All supplies I used ( except glitter, Nuvo, gold twines) are from Altenew and are listed below.
I am bringing the light bulb moment back!
Ding---> #1 kraft card stock can be used for stamping, not just for layering.
#2 don't get too serious when it comes to lining up the stamps. Have fun!

Hi Virginia, when I read your post and your internal "struggles" with stamping today, I could just hear myself. I would have gone through the exact same process, trying to be perfect, and eventually realising that I was not having fun anymore! Thanks for the reminder to just let loose and to take a deep breath and to remember that the "enjoyment" part is very important in any form of art, otherwise if we lose the joy then we may as well go back to the Hallmark stores and purchase a card! NEVER!!!! I love this card very much. My blog has been non-existent for almost the entire 18 months since we moved to another province. So I am visiting my talented crafty cyber friends so that I can be inspired to create some beautiful cards again.
