Amaryllis Cling Stamp (and My Light Bulb Moment)

Hello friends!
Hope you are ready....
Today's late Labor Day post is another Christmas card!!
If you love techniques, details and WOW factor, this post may give you some more inspiration
(aka, this is a not-to-be-missed post!! 😉 )

This new (to me) Amaryllis Cling stamp from Penny Black is absolutely gorgeous!

If you follow my blog for a while, you know I love to tweak the stamps and maximize its use....
And that is exactly what I did.
Blessed Christmas -001

I heavily rely on my MISTI  (I have TWO regular MISTI) or stamping cards. Sometimes you can't really use a Mini MISTI for this purpose. Now I would suggest that if you do not have a regular size MISTI, you should definitely consider Tim Holtz Tonic Craft Stamp Platform. No, I don't own one ( I wish though). However, I think TH Stamp Platform somewhat fulfills the gap of a mini and a regular. The reviews are mostly positive, too.
The best thing is? Tim Holtz Tonic Craft Stamp Platform is also rather inexpensive ($39.99).

And now...onto my card.
Blessed Christmas

I started with stamping the Amaryllis in the front and center. The repeated stamping with multiple colors always work like magic. It is simply fun to do so with stamp positioner like MISTI (or Tim Holtz Tonic Craft Stamp Platform).

You can use ZIG Markers , Distress Oxide and Spectrum Aqua Markers for this technique.

This time I used ZIG Markers instead and I love the vibrancy that the markers give!

Ding---> To give the design an extra oomph, I partially embossed the stems and leaves with WOW Pistachio Embossing Powder. I find it easy to use Stampendous Boss Gloss Embossing Ink.

Instead of using a Versamark Ink, the Stampendous Boss Gloss Embossing Ink
allows you to emboss the area that you want.

Blessed Christmas
All you need to do is squeeze out a tiny bit of Stampendous Boss Gloss Embossing Ink onto the target area and sprinkle your EP and voila!

Hope you are inspired to create something colorful!

Love amaryllis and this rendition is truly gorgeous. The vibrancy and that sprinkle of e/p makes for a beautiful card.

So gorgeous with the glittery embossing, Virginia! Perfect how you used the amaryllis on a Christmas card.

I agree about the TH stamping platform - got mine a week ago and have appreciated some of its qualities. Still use my MISTI and mini-MISTI though - crazy how we still need multiples of the same type of tool....
