Mix It Up

Hello friends!
Thank you so much for sharing your enthusiasm and checking out my blog.
Today I have a fun and romantic card with assorted stamps and dies.

I started out with a piece of white card stock. The background images first dry-embossed with this gorgeous "Embossing Textured Plate" (currently out of stock). The textures are so fine that you can continue to do your stamping...and that's exactly what I did.

I don't think we stampers use enough geometric stamps as we tend to reach for something floral and something visually appealing. Geometric shapes can be hard to use....you think?

Well, I challenge myself to use this new stamp set "Building Blocks"  by Altenew.
shop Altenew here, shop Simon Says Stamp here

The geometric background may look random, but they really are not.
My light bulb moment

Ding---> Create an "invisible frame" with masking paper/post-it note and stamp inside the borders. This is a good way to control the "chaotic" element. This will draw our eyes to the focal point (in my view).

Once I stamped the background, I stamped the small flowers and leaves. Then I stamped the sentiment with lightest grey to the darkest in Rock Collection(shop Altenew here, shop SSS here). By the way, GREY is in, if you don't own any good grey inks... Rock Collection is it!

And of course, it really doesn't hurt to add the Layering Flowers Dies such as Floral Fantasy
(shop Altenew here, shop SSS here) .

Lastly, I want to highlight this STAMPtember "You Got This" from Simon Says Stamp.
It has so many wonderful and uplifting message and is perfect for encouragement cards.

All the supplies I used are shown in the product photos and highlighted in text like this for your easy reference and shopping (affiliate links are applied whenever possible).

Thank you once again for your ongoing support and feedback.

My goodness your post sure is encouraging....there is no doubt that using stamps in a more creative way is a great use of our favorites and tempts us to think outside the box. Your card is a great example of both use and thinking. I love your card as it shows a wonderful use of stamps and dry embossing.
