On a personal note: Dr. John and I are visiting our son David in Ann Arbor, Michigan this past weekend. Over 20 years ago, we would drive across the Canadian/US borders to do serious outlet shopping in Michigan.  Back in those days, we didn't have stores like Old Navy (imagine that!!), Gap, Osh Kosh, Carter's Canada. I always felt like Charlie in the Chocolate Factory whenever I shopped in the USA. Chuck E. Cheese was always the highlight for David since there was nothing like it in my part of Ontario. Getting Stephanie cute (and cheap) dresses were such a thrill! Once we had to stop to calm 3-yeard old David down during the car ride because David could not cope with the ride (only 4 hours!!). It is kind of funny now to see David holding down a full-time job here in this side of border. He is doing fine and settling well....
Time has certainly changed.

Thanks for the visit here today!

Does time just fly by Virginia. Glad your son is settling into his job. Your block card is very clever.

Such a unique card, Virginia - you really made that set shine!! And fun to hear David is settled into his new job; glad he's doing well on our side of the border :)

Your arrangement of the blocks in this versatile set really works...colors and selective embossing are placed perfectly. Do love the "Virginia touches" you add to your cards. They embellish them fabulously.
Glad to hear David is settling into his new(ish) job well.
P.S. I love outlet malls, too.

You sure have made a unique card. The idea or challenge to use this stamp set would not be for me; however, you made an excellent, colorful card. I am beginning to think there is no stamp that would stump you.

My neighbor in our old house was born and raised in Windsor. She and I visited Windsor once and she 'showed' me the jewel Windsor was at that time. I took my sister over once. We had tea in Jackson Park and she bought 'loaded' aspirins in a Boots. Then as we crossed back, she was afraid we would be in trouble because of the aspirins. Silly.

You did a great job with that stamp set, Virginia. It must be so nice to have David settling in so well and close enough to visit also.

I must have missed your post about David moving to Ann Arbor. If you're ever in town and itching to craft with someone, give me a shout! Pai (pcmjunk on Flickr)
