Altenew Color Therapy Blog Hop

Hello friends!

I am excited to be part of the Altenew Color Therapy Blog Hop.
A you may know already, coloring is a great stress relief and therapy in this modern day!
I enjoy all sorts of color medium, particularly watercoloing and now Altenew Artist Markers!
For the details about this blog hop, please visit Altenew Card Blog and Altenew Scrapbook Blog.
If you arrive from the blog of Dana Gong, you are in the right place.
If not, come and join the fun and inspiration.

I am happy to share my color project with you.
For this project, I used Starry Flowers Stamp/Die Bundle as the flowers are perfect in size and details for easy-coloring.

I am no coloring expert, but I do know that with practice and patience (and great markers), you can achieve a good result. My project is the example of just that.

Altenew-ColorTherapyBlogHop-Virginia#1

I used all 3 sets of Altenew Artist Markers for my project.
Altenew-ColorTherapyBlogHop-Virginia#2

I did the usual 3 shades for each color. I did stamp and color a few extra flowers and cut them out for added dimensions.

To add a subtle interest, I dry-embossed the oval die from "Create a Wreath" with tan embossing mat.

Once I finished coloring the flowers, I thought it was "done". Somehow I felt compelled to add a shade of gray all around the colorful flowers. I was worried that I would ruin my coloring, but instead, I was pleasantly surprised the depth that the color gray added!

To accentuate the flower center in white, I used Pico Embellisher and it works like a charm.
I hope my project inspires you to do some coloring.
