Stamp and Emboss

Hello friends!
I was in the mood for creating a winter-themed card.
Today's card is the result of that creative process.

Solid images always speak to me....
Perhaps it's that instant gratification from simple stamping.
Ink and stamp..... and your are done!
That's pretty much how we got into this hobby!!?

This cling set is called "Christmas Mittens", it doesn't have to be used only around Christmas time.
just for you (2)

I even tried to add some hearts to the design. Notice the hearts on the mitts?
I stamped the hearts and sentiment with "Key to My Heart" .

Just for you-001

In between each stamping, I also did clear-embossing.
Layers and layers of Distress Oxide and then more clear-embossing.
just for you

I also added Distress Resist in the mix in the background.
just for you-002

Hope you like this wintery card!
Be sure to link up your creations with my "Show & Share".

What a fun card Virginia, all of the layers and 'texture' gives it a frosty look, perfect for a winter card.

I too, love solid stamps...they're so satisfying and the images almost always look terrifie. Love the color layering technique you used here. Makes me shiver just looking at it.
