Altenew Build-A-Flower: Crocus Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Happy June, my friends!

It's time to share another exciting Altenew Build-A-Flower with you.
This month's Build-A-Flower is Crocus is absolutely stellar!

If you have arrived from the blog of Nathalie DeSousa, you are in the right place.
If not, please check out this blog hop over
Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog .

I have an absolute blast creating today's project. After I played with the stamp a little bit, I realized that I want to apply the "Partial Die-cutting" technique!
Altenew-BAF Crocus-Virginia#2

Since the stamp-layering is super easy to do, I planned out the design and stamped the foreground first. As you can see, there are four leaves and two Crocus.
Altenew-BAF Crocus-Virginia#3
After stamping the images, I lined up the dies and left the bottom part hanging outside the die-cut machine. In this case, that part will not cut through (only the top part). Then it's time to stamped the background with the tall leaves and inked up with minty green. I also added two extra crocus in the background.

The "Partial Die-cutting" may seem to be tricky, but the end result was well worth it!
I didn't have a re-do as my plan totally worked!
Altenew-BAF Crocus-Virginia#4
I hope that you love my take with the Partial Die-cutting!
For my purple Crocus, I used the Crocus and Ink Bundle combo and added yellow.

Oh dear...so pretty and life-like. Sadly, all my croci are gone now but they're such a happy little flower and a true harbinger of Spring. Love how you used partial diecutting and filled it out with extra flowers.

The depth of your project with partial die cutting is lovely! I love the purple/greens the inks in the bundle too. It's nice to know that it layers easily as some layering sets are tricky, ie. Vintage Roses and Zinnia sets that I own.
