Hello friends!
Hope you are doing great and are able to spend a few minutes to look at my project.
Simon Says Stamp's latest release is called Rest and Refresh.
That theme has certainly reflected on today's project!
It is all about GREEN! The card is so soothing and calming...
This large stamp called Wild Flower is AWESOME!

If you love scene cards and can't quite figure out how to stamp one.....
this stamp "Wild Flowers" is it!

This set comes with two large Wild Flower Scene stamps. You can use each one alone, OR you can use both and layer the grass scene....and that is exactly what I did with this card.
The wonderful thing about this stamp is that you can layer the color over, especially if you use inks such as Distress Oxide.
A scene card may look complex, but with some planning, you are able to stamp it with ease!
There is no absolute rules for this types of stamping. However, I do find that stamping "backward" ( in terms of steps) makes the most sense to me. I like to start stamping the lightest for the background first.

I then worked my way up to the darkest shades (the silhouette).
To make this scene more elegant and subtle shine, I added a piece of glitter card stock.
Isn't this card green and lush?
I am loving this stamp and will share ANOTHER card with this same stamp (you know me!).
That's it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Green and lush perfectly describes your wonderful card. As a green fanatic, I love how you layered all the green with your Distress Oxide Inks. One of my favorite things about Distress Inks is the many shades of greens.
The green glitter card stock is a nice touch.
Brilliant idea and it produced an awesome card!
Ooooooooh, I am in LOVE with this stamp and the card you created Virginia - layering the stamp the way you did was PERFECT!!!!
Viginia, your card looks like a lush green meadow full of wildflowers which is, Im sure, exactly what you intended. So serene, it has a look of peace about it. A great background stamp indeed. Thanks.
What a unique nature card! I love the colors and the way you splattered it with water and made it look a little blurry! COOL
Love all those pretty green shades.. such a lovely card.
Thanks for sharing.
This is beautiful, Virginia!
It's like walking through wildflowers at dusk with the sun just kissing the tallest flowers...just beautifully layered. Plus the added Virginia elements to make it extra special.
What a beautiful card Virginia and yes it IS green and lush. I love it and this set is my #1 fave set in this release.
Very pretty with the layers.
Great looking card Virginia! With just two stamps...... how did you go about getting all the colors?
