Spellbinders Be Bold Collection

I am sharing something very different from my usual No floral, no scene.... just sentiment.

The Spellbinders Be Bold Collection offers many options that make designs simple but bold.

Be Bold Color Block Happy Birthday Etched Dies is part of the Be Bold Color Block Collection. The set of two thin metal dies cuts a big and bold BIRTHDAY and a playful font word, happy. Designer Tip: cut a piece of cardstock slightly smaller than 8.50 x 3.50 in. to create a base to build card front. Perfect in creating a slimline card format.

Approximate Size:

• Birthday: 8.50 x 3.50 in./21.60 x 8.90 cm
• Happy: 32.30 x 0.90 in./8.40 x 2.30 cm

For my card, I actually make a slightly larger card size (than the die) and I dry-embossed the die over it. This is likely the largest rectangle die that I have now.

 I started out with die-cutting the entire gold card stock, so I ended up with all the alphabets and negative pieces.  During this process, I changed my mind and decided to die cut as many colors as I can with each letter.

 

 I then paper piece each part and came up with this simple yet striking design. I still have many pieces from the die. Hopeful, I will come up with more designs to share with you.
