Hello friends!
It's my turn to share NEW projects over Altenew Card Blog. This time, I am sharing 3 colorful ways with Poinsettia & Berries Stamp & Die Bundle. This is a gorgeous Christmas stamp set has intricate details and outlines. No matter how you stamp or emboss it, the result will sure to impress! I am sharing 3 cards from this set and you can see what I mean.
To showcase the gorgeous holly leaves, I created a dramatic alcohol-inked background. I love the unexpected mix with the alcohol inks. This background is the result of Ruby Red, Coral Berry, Frosty Pink and Sugarplums Alcohol Ink Bundle.
When using these inks, it is best to get paper that are specifically for alcohol inks. Also, getting the Alcohol Blending Solution will help facilitate the movement of the alcohol ink. I soaked up the Alcohol Blending Solution with a paint brush and splatter all over the background. This helped creating the stunning droplets effect.
The holly leaves (Lime, Fresh Leaf, and Hunter Green) and berries ( Vineyard Berries and Heart Beat) were tucked under the banner and Gold Metallic Thread
With the help of Instant Dimension Foam Tape, the Antique-gold embossed banner ( Mistletoe Wreath) can be easily added on top the the gold thread and holly leaves.
For my next card, I went for a completely different color palette.
I gathered my favorite mini ink pads and mixed the colors for each layer. The ink colors from Sea Shore, Sweet Dream and Green Meadows are perfect for mixing.
Noticed that there are no outlines for these poinsettias? Yes, I decided to skip the outline stamp and let the depth of colors be the star. These are the ink colors : green (Sweet Leaf, Lagoon and Just Green), blue (Volcano Lake, Teal Cove and Dew Drop) and pink ( Pink Diamond).
Once again, the banner from Mistletoe Wreath Die came in handy. This time, I used just the die without stamping. To add a touch of sparkle, I added a piece of Topaz (from Gilded Glitter Cardstock).
Once I finished stamping , I adhered the die cut pieces to color card-stock and added white sequins to compliment the design.
The last card was created for the release blog hop. I love the pink and red mix of poinsettia.
The outline of the poinsettia was stamped in Velvet Crisp Dye Ink. To add some shine and interest, I dry-embossed the Dotted Tile Debossing Tile with Brushed Rose Metallic Card Stock.
I love the versatile look of this Poinsettia & Berries and created 4 totally different designs.... so far. The gold sentiment "HAPPY HOLIDAYS" on the top card is a sneak peek of the upcoming release. I hope that you are getting some creative ideas on this stamp set. Please stop by Altenew Card Blog to leave me your comment and feedback. Thank you for your support!

Oh, what a wonderful collection of cards! Your tips are so helpful for future projects. I already have three Altenew poinsettia stamp sets...hmm
These are so pretty! The one with the 'wishing you Peace, Love & Joy' sentiment is my favorite! Love the layering and the gold background with the Dotted Tile design!
Such gorgeous cards! Great poinsettia set. The ‘Wishing you peace, love and joy’ card is my favorite as I love red, green, gold and white for Christmas decorations and cards.
Fabulous cards, Virginia, and super colours
