Craft Your Life Floral Acanthus-2nd Take

Hello friends!
I am popping in to share my 2nd version with the Craft Your Life Floral Acanthus.

The project kit is part of this month's Marvelous Subscriptions. My 2nd version is really part of the first card. I used the 2nd flower from my stenciling and turned it into another card.

CYL #1

The die set cuts everything in one go--love that!  I stamped, and then stenciled the images.

The coordinating stencils and dies are truly time-saver and make everything work so beautifully.

Once I have the pieces ready, I started to compose the design and tried out each one of the combo.

I used the coordinating Embossing Folder (yes, this kit has an embossing folder!) for that subtle and yet stunning background. hugs -002

I love the various stencils that allow you to add colors with depths and color contrast.

For the sentiment, I added a piece of vellum for the backing of "hugs".

This project kit truly is versatile. I know I can create many more with this set. Imagine that you can create a set of cards with many variations.

Your color choices are striking and dramatic, Virginia! 10 years ago I would never have believed gray leaves were pretty but times change, thankfully.
