Fresh Takes on Vintage Designs

Hello friends! 

I have two interesting projects to share. I am using the paper embellishments from Spellbinders Christmas Flea Market Finds.

When I Google the word Nostalgia... this came up.

Is nostalgia a nice feeling?

Recently scientists have explored the bittersweet feeling of nostalgia, finding that it serves a positive function, improving mood and possibly mental health. A new paper illuminates why it works, finding that this sepia-toned sentiment does not cement us in the past but actually raises our spirit and vitality.

For this card, I inked up the background with light cora, pink and yellow. This give the stocking image a slight warm glow.

With Hand Made Holidays Clear Stamp, I stamped the wreath circle and sentiment and cut out the circle sentiment. It's not a perfect circle, but I find a little rustic hand touches elevate the design.

This next card is also based on the similar idea as my 1st. I am creating a set of cards and this makes the design more cohesive.

I have two more cards from this collection. You see, card-making is not complicated. ANYONE can do it. These cards are very easy and do-able. Hope you enjoy seeing them.
